My wife and I are still trying to get Wells Fargo to simply give us written, documented proof that our account is closed. But instead, we keep getting NSF notices in the mail, and e-mails like the following :

Here is PROOF once again, as to how you must protect yourself from Wells Fargo Bank. When we went in on the 26th of June to Close our account, we were told it was indeed closed now, and there was nothing to worry about. We even surrendered all of our ATM cards at that time. Two business days after we closed our account, we received a letter in the mail stating that our account had NSF fees due. Once again, " Are You Freaking Kidding Me ? " THIS ACCOUNT IS C L O S E D !!! So, we made a call once again to Janet Keys to get this straightened out. She said she would take care of it and give my wife or I a call back this morning. She is supposed to be reversing these charges too. I guess I will need to go into the bank to have them give me a PIECE OF PAPER stating that this account is indeed closed ... More later, I'm sure. I will keep you posted. You just can't trust them enough to believe them when they say they will send you something in the " mail ".

Ok, once again, as advised by Wells Fargo ( after doing a mortgage deferral for the 3rd time, which they claim they NEVER do ), we call the Wells Fargo mortgage company to cancel our automatic payment that was coming out of our checking account directly. But when we speak with the Mortgage Rep about stopping the payment, he told us that it has already been stopped. We did not previously contact anyone at the mortgage company prior to this conversation, to stop this payment. Hmmmmm ... wonder who put in the cancellation? Wells Fargo, that's who. Caught them in a lie once again !!! One other little tid bit - When the manager Janet Keys contacted us to tell us they were giving us our money back, she also stated that we had 30 days to close our account or they were going to do it for us. Can you belive this crap? What did they think we were going to do? That was a no brainer ... Yes, our account is now closed and we opened up another account with a totally different bank. But I guarantee you, we will be watching this new bank very carefully ...

Only because of the great, and knowledgable people here at the Rip Off Report .com, were my wife and I able to get our money back from Wells Fargo !!! I would not have known what to do other wise. We also have another issue that we have been fighting since last June, with bank of america. they bought out our Credit Card that we orininally had with MBNA. Since last june, they just started tacking on an additional $100 a month, claiming that my wife authorized it ( some kind of so called protection program ), even going so far as to tell us that they had my wife's verbal authorization conversation on tape. We asked for a copy of that conversation, they told us ok, they will send it to us. Guess what? That report never showed up. Can you guess why? It never took place ... and simply does not exist ! They owe us over $800 in fees on that one. With the advice from the Rip Off Report .com, we are going after this one too. I will post the out come once that information becomes available ... Thanks again, Rip Off Report .com !!! YOU GUYS ROCK !!!
