Anyone who considers buying anything from Wells Fargo Financial Acceptance or any other affiliation of WFS, had better be careful! We bought a 2000 Malibu from Progressive Chevrolet in 2002. We traded our Dodge Intrepid in (fully paid off) They gave us $1700. trade in. Our loan for the Malibu was $20152.60. When we bought it it had 45,904 miles. Our payments were $306. a month for 5years. We bought it in March and refinanced it in August of the same year at 19%.interest. Lower interest rate, but higher payment $361. for only 4 years!

We bought valguard for $1500 extra since the dealer said it was adviseable with a high mile auto. After time limit runs out, the water pump went first, and the fuel pump goes next! Over $500 in repairs, plus a new set of brakes!

My husband has no notice, gets a raise on Friday, then laid off on Mon.

I call WFS ask them if they can deferr a car payment, since my husband is laid off and we have to pay all the repairs, out of his last pay.

Oh Sorry ! We don't offer that at this branch! Well Gee whiz I've worked at the same grocery store for almost 17 years and we sure have the same policy for all of our stores. Geeez I wonder why at the bottom of the statement it says "deferrment or delinquincy charge".

Our neighbors'husband had their car payments deferred more than once because he was laid off. Maybe it's because my husband is an immigrant and you have separate policies.

Next, WFS slams us with "their special insurance"

I call them up and ask them why our payment is now $438 a month. That's to cover the car. This is now June of 2004! Our insurance policy was from May 8 through Nov.8 2004. I gave them the policy number from Progressive Ins. and they still would not drop the $438.to our original payment. I asked to view my account on-line sorry you can't do that! Why Not?

Next, I'm tired of talking to the wall, about their insurance, So my husband picks up the phone and tells him he is going to telephone an attorney since we have been paying $112. a month for insurance and they are charging $78. extra. Then September comes 2weeks later, after our little discussion. I am going to send $370 for a payment, I'm told,"no you can't, you have to make a double payment in October".

I then called Wells Fargo F.A. in Philadelphia immediately and asked if they have ever told someone "Not to make a payment". They replied "Wells Fargo would never tell anyone not to make a payment." You could just imagine what I did then! I call WFFS back and told them word for word what their other branch said, and I was told that I had no business contacting any other branch "This branch handles your account!" I only called the other branch because, my loan was originally from that office, "We were told it was also in our best interest to transfer our account from the Phila. office to the Akron office, in case we encountered any problems? I'll save the best for last!

On October 26, I am at work, my boss is going to lunch! She comes running back to where I'm working , Saying oh my God Someone just towed your car! I almost fainted! I electronically sent them $700. Tuesday afternoon. I called Wells Fargo within minutes and asked what they were doing? I just sent you $700.Tues. No you didn't, yes I did, No you didn't, yes I did etc. Finally thinking maybe the electronic wire wasn't picked up , I call and have it tracked. Their reply "That wire was picked up electronically 20 seconds after it was sent!

Even after I told them that it was tracked, he had the nerve to ask me what the MTCN.was on the receipt, knowing that they had received it. I called back the next day and asked if they had "Found" the transfer, and when I could pick up my car, and his reply was "oh yeah, it's here but that's not enough we have to accelerate your payment, you have to pay $1300. to pick up your car! We paid that car balance from $20,152. down to $7851.31 from March 2oo2 until October 2004!

Oh by the way, when my husband was laid off they sent us a letter of intent to reposess if we did not comply with our contract. I have another receipt from May 21. for another $700. transfer! I have already contacted the BBB and the AGs' office. I hope that, when you read this David you will remember when you said "I've been doing this job for 10 years I can do anything I want. I know exactly what I can do!" What was that all about anyway? To Richard, and to Jay, I can only hope that my son never would disrespect and talk to anyone the way that you have talked to my husband and myself. I'm 41 and I walked to work a few days, since my husband had to use his work car to drive 30 minutes to his job. Your endless badgering and degrading remarks lead me to beleive that you haven't had any professional training . My son is only nine, He said it's ok mom, Well I guess you learned something. You can't always trust everyone.

He also said you shouldn't feel bad because the heater didn't even work!

PS. We don't lie. My husband never got called back to work. Look it up in the archives Ohio Cast Closes Doors- Area Company Liquidates.
