It looks like I'm joining a growing crowd. Apparently Western Digital wasn't expecting so many of those $50 rebates to find their way home.

I got my postcard today.(4/26/04) It says I didn't purchase my hard drive during the specified rebate period. Like Hell I didn't.

Over the past several years I've had quite a few rebates that went unfilled. Sometimes they would be sent back along with the lame excuse for not paying. Most of the time I would send it all back with everything highlighted in yellow and the rebate would be paid. Western digital didn't even have the nerve to send my paperwork back. It was all correct and in order so why would they?

The advent of the Internet sure has helped shed some light on manufacturer and store rebate ripoff's. Used to be we thought we were the only one!
