Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

We purchased a timeshare at Westgate Lakes and Spa years ago and for the past several years the health of me and my husband has declined and we have been struggling to keep paying the maintenance and taxe fees so that it doesn't ruin our credit.  Renting it out, when we were able to, didn't even cover the fees we have to pay.  I contacted Westgate and informed them of the situation but they said they couldn't help as they do not buy back the timeshares as we were told. We have had it listed for sale through various resale companies which only ended up costing us additional money and nothing was ever done.  So not only have we been ripped off but Westgate we ended up being SCREWED by resale companies who said there wouldn't be any additoinal fees until the units were sold and the first company we obtained was about 7 years ago and we have never heard from them again.  The last one agreed to take a commision for their services as the units are during a red week every other even year but I guess they don't need the money as we haven't heard from them either.

PLEASE HELP I don't know what to do and in January 2016 we will have another bill that will be due.  Does ANYONE have any suggestions?

Its all about the choices YOU have made. YOU CHOSE to buy in to a timeshare. Unless you wish to ruin your credit, the only thing yuou can do is either try and sell it or finish out the terms of your contract. You MIGHT get some help contacting a lawyer who specializes in CONTRACT LAW. There is NORMALLY some wiggle room for BOTH parties written in. Otherwise, YOU have NOT been ripped off. How VERY MATURE of you to even state such a defaming statement. YOU are simply being held to the terms and conditions of the CONTRACT YOU AGREED TO!!!! If YOU didnt go over the contract with a fine tooth comb, who would YOU suggest eat the blame for the CHOICES you made. Why is it ALWAYS a "ripoff" or a "scam" when the other shoe drops from the choices YOU have made?
