I purchased a 2001 Crysler Cirrus from Joey's Auto Broker's. The car was financed thru Westlake Financial Services. In less than 3 months of having this vehicle, the transmission went bad. I mad numerous attempts to let Joey's Auto Brokers know of the problems I was having with the car. I contacted Westlake Financial Service's to advise them of the problem, who not to mention--the customer service was was horrible, the representative told me it was my problem and not theirs. I made my payments with no problem and on time, until these problems with the car started occuring.

I took the car to the mechanic shop. The mechanic said the repairs were estimated $2,000.00. I said this is rediculous. I called Westlake Financial Service's to pick up the car from the mechanic shop. However, Westlake Financial Services did re-sale the car at an auction but fail to remove the balance it sold at off the balance of the car. They ruined my credit. They put it on my credit as a repossession.

I since then have financed 2 cars. My dilemma is when I went to get financed for a car, there is this big fat REPOSSESSION on my credit from Westlake Financial Services. This is not fair! This repossession has been lingering on my credit since 2003. Any suggestions anyone?

What is not fair?

I am trying to understand what is not fair? You owed the money. You defaulted on the loan. It is on your credit report yet you feel it is not fair... Why? Maybe the next time you buy a used car from a car-lot, you will buy a warranty program with it, instead of buying it as is. Car lots buy cars, fix what they have too so it will sell, mark it up for a big profit, and make more money on the financing. Surely you already knew that.
