I called Wheeler Power Products when I saw an BBC engine for sale on Ebay. I got a price from WPP of $17,000. I paid them half $8,500, in January 2011 and final half when it was done in March of $8,500. I was told that someone made a mistake on the build specs and it would have to be done over. Keep in mind, I was supposed to recieve the engine in April, 2011, but sometimes things happen and I thought I'll wait for another month or two. Long story short, it's September and although they have many excuses, I still don't have a motor. I did read some of these complaints before I went through this experiance. After all, a company with, what looks like a million dollar facility wouldn't be that dishonest, would they? They would. Pete Wheeler is a slick talker and keeps the motor just out of reach. It's sad, because he seems very smart and doesn't need to be a con-man to make a business like his work. I was luckier then most on this site because I paid with a credit card and was able to do a charge back. However, my summer was wrecked, but I will recover. Like I said before, I read these complaints but didn't believe them. I hope you car lovers out there don't make the same mistake.
