I wanted to get a short term loan and wished to use my vehicle to do so. Contacted E-title loans and was told that I could get a $ 1,500.00 loan and repay it in 30 days for $ 1,600 and change. Had their "loan representative" meet me at a Starbucks coffee hous right before it was closing. He took photos of my vehicle, took my title, which was not signed by me, took a photo of my DL and made a call to his "corporate office" and entered information on a laptop. I never saw what he was doing on Laptop and we were asked to leave the starbucks since it was closing. Went outside and he ended the cell call, closed laptop, kept my title and handed me a check for $ 1,500 saying that I would recieve the loan documents via e-mail. I have never head from him again. After 2 weels passed I began calling the contact number I had for the company and asked for the loan documents. I never recieved a call back. 2 weeks later I began getting between 8-10 calls a day from an automated system saying my loan payment was past due. I called into the number the automated system provided and asked to find out what was going on. I was told I was late on my loan payment. I asked for the information on the loan again and was told verbally that I had borrowed $ 2,300-2,400 dollars from them and that i had a monthly payment of around $ 225.00 (i do not have the exact numbers from that phone conversation, I did not write them down.) at that point I asked for a manager to call me so I could find out what was going on. I never got a call from anyone other than an automated system calling 8-10 times a day every day. They also placed numerous calls to my work number with an automated system providing the same number that I had called. I e-mailed the person I origianlly spoke with from the company several times before I got a response, explaing the situation and asking who i could speak to in order to get some sort of resolution. I was given the same number to call that the automated system left. I called several more times asking to speak to a manager or have on call me.
Today another automated call contacts me saying my vehicle is subject for repo. I called and spoke to and individual who refused to give their name and said a manager would be calling me. It sure appears that they are trying to swindle me out of my vehicle which is worth much more than $ 1,500.00. I have now filed several complaints against them with the BBB, the AG's office and The Office of Financial Regulation. I am looking forward to responses from those places to see what my next step should be. I am slo looking forward to an update on the post from 1Nation 1 Law.org

You have taken the right steps, this company is very sneaky. I have seen many complaints all regarding the same practice this company is doing to everyone. Now I myself was interested in 1Nation 1 Law.org and I see now that 1Nation 1 Law.org is saying the company is great for the economic times??
His entire complaint has taken a 360, but I am following through. I have contacted the Fl Atty General's office, Department of Financial Reg, and filed complaints against Whetstone Partners llc DBA Etitle loans. They have done things that should not be allowed under Fl State statues regarding title loans.
