Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I went in to Kmart last Feb. and looked into the why not lease it program and was approved for $800.

I got 2 tablets and the salesperson who helped me explained that I had to make 10 bi-weekly payments and would then have the option of buying it out or I could continue on and after making 4 additional payments the tablets would be mine. The payments NEVER came out on the date they were supposed to but I did make all 10 payments and 3 more. I called Why not lease it today to confirm that I was only going to be making 1 more payment and then the tablets would be mine.

I was going to look into doing the same thing for a newwashing machine. Well.... I got a very rude woman named Eve on the phone who told me that the salesperson gave me bad info. She further went on to tell me that I could buy it out for over $100 or continue leasing it FOREVER !!

That is not going to happen. I went to the 2 other people who were with me when I entered this agreement and they both heard the same thing I did.

I amn going to let them take 1 more payment so I fufill the agreement as it was sold to me and then I AM GOING TO THE BANK. I am going to put a stop to any further withdrawls from my account as I am not responsible for a salesperson giving me bad info.

Why not lease it could care less what the people selling their B.S program are saying. They just want to keep getting your money. Do not deal with this program unless you want to pay at least double what your purchase should have been or if you want to lease something FOREVER !!

I am going to contact the Attorney General,The BBB,and District Attorneys office to see what can be done.

After seeing the ridiculous amount of complaints about this company, It may be time to file a class action law suit.

An oral agreement, as they say, is worth the paper it's writtn on.

You can get signed affidavits from a hundred eye-witnesses which say that the salesman "told" you something, but if the contract you signed says something else, guess which is going to hold up in court?

Smart people- and people willing to wait instead of indulging in instant gratification- save up for what they want instead of falling for lease deals which AUTOMATICALLY make anything you buy a LOT more.  Sometimes I think people just want to be poor, since it's mostly poor people who are signing up for ridiculous lease and "installment plan" purchases.

But sorry, this is your own d*** fault for wanting to get your stuff and get out of the store with it instead of actually reading your contract.  No wonder your credit is in the toilet.
