Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I was basically forced to stay in the dealership for about 7 hours.  They had my car keys & I let them intimidate me.  I was alone (mistake) & being a woman they decided to give me a car (I told the salesman I did not want USED) they wanted to get rid of.  There were at least 3 or 4 (including the Santa Claus they had for the holiday season) constantly talking to me, convincing me it was a good thing.

I know it was my fault for signing the papers when there were red flags (19.24% interest rate) but by 8pm I was exhausted & just wanted out of there.  They never gave me a car fax even though I repeatedly asked for one.  I saw the one for my old car but not the one I purchased.

I wound up with a car that is only 1 year younger than what I owned (& loved) with a lot less "bells & whistles".  I am very unhappy with the dealer since 2 weeks after getting the car new windshield wipers were needed & approx. 6 months after having it I needed new tires.  There was "dry rot" on both rear tires.  Should a "new" car need these replacements so soon?  I think they didn't bother to do anything with it & I am totally disgusted with their customer service & bully methods.

Thank you,

Miclene Aaron

DO NOT BUY FROM WINDSOR NISSAN

Thu, January 31, 2013

I too purchased a vehicle from Windsor Nissan.  I purchased a used vehicle in 2011.  Their sales representatives are dishonest, rude and overall low lifes.  Aside from being obnoxiously pushy to the point where I nearly knocked the sales guy "Phil" out, they will lie to your face to get you to buy a car.  I recently found out that they did not show me the entire CarFax report.  I know this because, even though they made it a point not to let me me walk out with the CarFax report (this is not normal and should have been a red flag but I was 3 years younger and stupider), I took photos of the report with my cell phone, which I was luckily able to dig up out of my closet.

The reason I found all of this out NOW is because I was trying to sell the car privately and the prospective buyers ran a CarFax report which had MUCH more (bad) information on it that occurred prior to my purchasing the vehicle.  On that point, a formal complaint has been recently filed with the BBB.  Aside from that, they provided me Altima mats in a Maxima.  They told me the car, which was a lease, was returned with no mats (should have been red flag #2).  In fact, the FULL CarFax show that there was a leak in the vehicle and the carpets had to be fully replaced...TWICE.

And THAT is why they stuck me with Altima mats, and by the way were standoffish basically told me to get bent when I asked for neutral or Maxima mats.  Their internet salesman, Lloyd, who was a referral to me was also no help at all.  He was just as shady as Phil except not quite as rude or annoying.  Phil had the audacity to start asking me personal questions about my finances, my family, etc and kept on with "Why?" after each explanation I gave him.  I was ready to hop over the desk and knock his teeth out.  There was paint on the car which Phil said was to signal that the car had been detailed.  For real?  He told me to go home and chip it off myself.

Only after I got nasty and in his face did he have someone remove it very reluctantly.  To top it all off this dealership is so cheap and trashy they gave me the car with less than half a tank of gas in it.  I don't want to hear about how high gas prices are, the economy, etc.  I just bought my wife a new car and they sent her off with a full tank.  Its class vs. trash.  And trash is what Windsor Nissan is.

And finally, after dealing with them in person, I had to keep after them on a daily basis for 2 weeks before I got the documentation I needed for registration, etc.  But they made sure to keep after me relentlessly calling for anything they needed after I walked off the lot.  When the report goes through with the BBB regarding the CarFax I hope the low lifes, Phil and Lloyd, never sell cars again.  I cannot stress enough to stay away from Winsdor Nissan.  Go to Freehold or Lakewood if you are looking for a Nissan.  If you are looking for a better Japanese car just go with a (((competitor's name redacted))) for that matter.

sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company, ..plus, if you post a competitors name more than likely they will show up on search engines as a Rip-off! - - your comments on this policy are welcome. CLICK here to see why Rip-off Report, as a matter of policy, deleted either a phone number, link or e-mail address from this Report. In this case we removed an alleged competitors name

They didn't "keep" you there...they didn't "force" you to do anything.  You STAYED there because YOU weren't willing to stand up for yourself!  They kept the keys?  OK, easy solution...you call the police.   They have a signed contract with you agreeing to the terms as printed.  End of story.  End of story???  It doesn't have to be.  If this Jenn wants to help you, then lets see how much she really wants to help you rather than blame prior management....and giving you free car washes and oil changes isn't the answer you seek.

Dear Miclene Aaron:

Thank you for taking the time to post about your experience at Windsor Nissan.  We really appreciate all feedback from our customers.  Both positive and negative feedback allow us to grow as a business.  With this being said, I have looked back at your purchase you made in December of 2011.  I wanted to infom you, that this is not the way we treat our customers and this type of treatment will never be tolerated at Windsor Nissan.  We have been under new manangement after you purchased your vehicle.  I am sorry you had a negative experience in our showroom.  If there is anything we can do to assist you, please reach out to Jenn Nelson, and she can help you.

Thank you,

So you buy a car let the dealer get you the needed financing. You drive the car home after signing a contract that is 19.24%.  Then the dealer takes the info off of your credit application and any other info that they want to send the lender that you will not be shown. Like maybe you only make $1500 gross another income. If the dealer thinks you will not get approved based on your REAL INCOME they might tell the auto lender a FAKE INCOME say $1900 a moth so the bank FEELS BETTER.

The dealer will take all your data off of your credit application and put it into their computer. They will use a program after that called dealer track Then they send off your auto deal to as many lenders as they possibly can find.  Then all of a sudden a bidding war comes to play.  All these different lenders will tell the dealer what is the lowest interest rate they're willing to fund for the deal.  Your contracts is 19.24% that's what you agreed to.  Now if the bank offers the dealership say 9.2% interest rate and the dealership takes the 9.2%  interest rate.  You stay at the 19.24%  but the dealer gets a FAT CHECK FROM THE BANK for the difference  for 10.04 %.

You pay the higher rate and a dealer gets that FAT CHECK called BACKEND GROSS.   Now does your CORN HOLE FEEL ABUSED EVEN MORE.........?
