Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

While on vacation I tried to extend the driver's side slide out.  It would not extend so I took my 2012 Winnebago Cambria to s repair shop.  The technician showed me the wire and motor that had gotten wet and corroded causing slide ou not to work.  He stated the connection was not sealed to keep water out.

My wife and I retuned to Texas without use of the slide out.  On July 18, 2017 I replaced the fuse that controls the tow package.  I disconnected the negative cable, replaced the fuse, reconnected the battery cable and then tried to start the engine.  It would not start.  I notice the anti theft system had been activated.  Since the keys that were given to me when we bought the RV new did not have the chip or coded it rendered the unit useless.

Now Winnebago tells me that it is not their problem, but it is Ford's problem.  Ford tells me since Winnebago purchased the vehicle and made modification to it, they are not responsible.  So here I sat with a high priced yard decoration or I can pay 3 to 400 dollars to have it towed to the nearest Ford dealer and then another 600.00 dollars for two keys.  Which by the way they tell me I have to have two keys at 300 dollars apiece. If Camping World had given me the proper keys all this could have been avoided.

This is only a part of the problems I have had with Camping World in New Braunfels, Texas.  When we purchased the RV new, the air conditioner would not reduce the inside temperture below 95 degrees.  Mr Heinrickwe cannot go by the inside temperature, but the outside temperature. After many months of battling back and forth with the service manager, Bill Heinrick, Winnebago agreed to put another air conditioner in the unit if I paid for the air conditioner, they would pay for the labor.

This is the last RV I will buy from Winnebago and Camping World.  By the way. my wife and I trade about every 4 to 5 years.
