The more $$$ people spend on these tickets is better for most all of us. Lottery is a VOLUNTARY TAX, and every dollar some idiot spends on a ticket reduces the tax burden for the rest of us!! In Texas, most of the proceeds go towards education, therefore reducing the property tax burden on those of us that pay them. Many low income people (that don't own real property) play the lottery, thus contributing to paying for the education system. I think lotteries are great. You only pay the tax if you volunteer to. There seems to be plenty of volunteer's willing pay.

I find it hard to believe that out of 2000 tickets, you won nothing. I play every so often (maybe once a month) and I've won several times. Nothing big, but it's fun. And I agree with the previous comment - save your money. The lottery is supposed to be fun, not a way to get rich quick. It's usually the people who are least able to afford it who buy the most tickets hoping to "score".

You need to take your own advice. You blew $2000 buying those stupid tickets, and what do you have to show for it!! It's idiots like you that keep the whole system going. Imagine what you could have done with an extra $2000 in your pocket
