I purchased a teacup Yorkie on Sunday September 4, 2005. Twenty minutes after leaving the store, the puppy began to cough. By the time I reached my home, the puppy was in respiratory distress. The store had closed, so I called the two Vet's that were listed on the paperwork that I had just been given. The first Vet's office told me "Tell those people to stop giving out our number, we don't treat their animals". The second Vet, Dr. Bellows refused to see my dog after hours!

By the following morning, I was at my own Vet. The puppy had Tracial Bronchitis and coccidia. The puppy has suffered seizures, been in a coma and has been on every kind of anti-biotic since I have had her. They can't clear her lungs. They have given up giving her meds and treatment and told me to give her the best quality of life she can have and not to excite her. A bath sends her into a respiratory attack and whenever she tries to play she falls over gasping for breath.

I thought I was the only one! Instead of refunding my money ($3,000) and reimbursing me over $3,400 in Vet bills, they agreed to credit my charge and give me a healthy comparable pup. Once we had chosen a new pup, they informed me that I needed to sign a document obligating me to pay $3,400! Try to tell my kids no as they cradle the new puppy!

Now the new puppy is coughing one day later!

The waiting room was filled with three people complaining that their new dog was sick and told me that they had gotten multiple sick dogs from these people. I thought my dog was the rare exception! I thought they honestly cared that my life is now spent caring for a dog who can't breathe! All they wanted was to make sure they got my money. Now I have two sick dogs! If this is as widespread as it seems, why are these people still in business. Has any government official walked in to inspect? If their "back room" is as bad as the reports indicate, why isn't the ASPCA or some other entity entitled to go in and close them? Has no employee stepped forward? Who are these people?
