I wished that I had of checked out this unethical company when I first notice a charge of $1.00 on my credit card, starting January 2008. I inquired about the $1.00 charge and was told that some companies will charge $1.00 just to check that the credit card is valid.

I did not think much about it since I had order some items from Woman Within. Because I am dealing with an illness and a lot of time in the hospital I did not catch the fraudulent charges of $11.99 each month on my credit card from this company, (UMG Buyer Edge), until June 13, 2008.

I never heard of this company, never received any type of products or services from this company, nor do I understand what kind of product or service this company promotes.

At best, I was told that it is some kind of discount service. This company told me that I set up an account which I did not. I could not understand how this unethical company got my information.

My credit card company asked me did I do business with Women Within via telephone which I said no, since I do my orders via Women Within Web site personally. Then it darned on me that back in January I placed an order via

Women Within Web site and the system kept giving me an incorrect price for an item. So I had to personally call Women Within via telephone to correct the problem which they did and that is when my credit card number and personal information was forwarded to this company.

I have done business with Lane Bryant now named Women Within and always consider it to be an ethical Company. However, it was just my luck I ran into a bad unethical, Women Within, customer's service representative. The service representative must get brownie points for each person that she can sign up for UMG Buyer Edge. I cannot think of any other reason why a Customer Service Representative would go through such extremes to do something illegal and wrong. This Customer Service Representative is no different than a robber who uses a gun to rob people. The Women Within, Customer's Service Representative robbed me with a smile and have a nice day.

I talked with someone named, Carlos at UMG Buyer Edge and he told me that he would cancel the account but he was only able to credited my credit card just a couple of months. However, I should get every d**n penny of my money since I never authorized anyone to set up an account at UMG Buyer Edge. Plus, I never even received any type of services for the bogus charges.

Who do these people think they are to step up an account without a person's knowledge and charge them monthly for what I don't know.

I just found out that UMG has 271 compliants filed at the Better Business Bureau and my compliant will make 272. The CEO at UMG is Alan Portelli. I am not sure if to file a compliant against Women Within (Lane Bryant)?

It was through them that my information was forwarded to UMG. I think I better file a compliant on Lane Bryant because they are responsible too!

I work at a Lane Bryant store, and I just wanted to let you know that Lane Bryant is no longer associated with Woman Within. From what I understand, Woman Within was paying LB to use the name, and LB chose to stop letting them once the contract was up.
