Mr Sims,

I brought my one year old along with my sister, her husband and their two children to wonderpark on Friday February 23rd, 2007. It was an extremely unpleasant experience I assure you I will never repeat again. After purchasing two "unlimited ride passes" and 40 tokens, we entered your establishment hoping to create memories for the children. Unfortunately the memories created were only frustrations they encountered coupled with the adults frustrations. Nearly EVERY machine kept 1-2 tokens inserted, making each game price about 5-6 tokens, rendering very little tokens left to spend. But I kept quiet and figured, well, with the careless upkeep of the place, it didn't seem that anything would come of a complaint to stolen tokens by your machines. So needless to say, we went through the tokens much more quickly than anticipated, or should have due to your machine malfunction...but that wasn't the worst of it. I wanted a keepsake picture with my son from your kodak machine along with a keychain to place it on. I approached the booth, and inserted 3 $ as instructed in the directions..to get a picture on a keychain, upon going inside the booth, I saw that the misleading sign did not state that was only for the price of the piece of plastic. It requested an additional 3 dollars, and did not state "singles only". Having only 5's I inserted a 5 dollar bill and much to my dismay, but NOT SURPRISE, it failed to yield the 2$ in change. We sat there waiting and following instructions, and the machine seemed to stop responding. Then SNAP, a picture went through, then another and another. It then took me to the next screen where you choose a background and words. It FROZE. So after 17 minutes of frustration, sweat, and MIND YOU--KEEPING MY ONE YEAR OLD CALM and PACIFIED--which is nearly impossible, I approached an employee to find a manager, she pointed to a man standing at the front. I walked up to him and explained my situation....He merely lifted his chin condescendingly, raised his arm, looked over his shoulder and waved a young male to help me, NOT ONCE did he acknowledge me or speak to me, I refused to play into his "charade" and said, "what is that supposed to mean?" He said "FOLLOW HIM IF YOU WANT YOUR TWO DOLLARS BACK" and without waiting for my response, he simply turned his back and walked away. Stunned and THOROUGHLY disgusted, I followed the young boy to the Kodak Machine. In the interim, someone else's child went INTO the booth, pressed a bunch of buttons, selected a picture background and name ( I assume the machine froze for a certain period, then began working) only ONE set printed out, when TWO sets were paid for, the boy was nice, but did not offer another round, as I did not select the background, or picture type and THE MACHINE DID NOT GIVE WHAT I PAID FOR....He apologized and said, you can go back and talk to the guy you just talked to if you want your money back. I stated "No, he is a rude unprofessional jerk" He said "Yeah, he is uh A-Hole" VERBATIM. I asked the managers name and he said Armando. Armando is the most disrespectful rude unprofessional person I've ever met.So I left your "establishment" knowing I would NEVER return, and knowing your company made WAY too much money off me. This piece of correspondence will go to ripoffreport.com as well as the BBB and John Matarese for news coverage to stop others from WASTING THEIR MONEY.

Thanks for a NOT SO WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!!

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

Tue, March 20, 2007

I used to work at the mall when it was Forest Fair 1989-1992. I worked in the game and ride area for 2 1/2 years. Then it was called "Time Out On The Court". which was downstairs next to the theater and the garage.. I hurt my back seriously lifing kids onto rides..So they put me in the game room where I would give change, tokens. At night when the mall closes we all would gather in the back office and supervisors would count our money, which we never got to see them do it. I was always short $10.00 or $20.00. I was very carefull with my money..I could not afford to pay any back..I was let go because of my shortages. We had one supervisor who was betting on games and horses. He was taking our money and making us look like we done it..Our manager had Sexual Harrassment charges on him by another female employee.. The place was a mess. Then I became the recepionist and took calls from bookies, girlfriends..The sups and managers would party all the time after work..I was soooo glad when they closed that place down when they remodeled the mall.. File a complaint with the mall office, I know you can't be the only one. It happened to my daughter also on my grandaughters birthday.. She never has gone back there again and the rest of our parties went to (((competitor's name redacted))).. sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company your comments on this policy are welcome!
