Wood for Life Brittany Boyd WARNING - scam! Wood for Life Brittany Boyd reclaimed wood furniture ottawa Internet
The owner of Wood for Life, Brittant Boyd, took our money and has not given us our custom ordered furniture or shown us any evidence that it has been completed despite multiple requests. She has promised us a refund multiple times but still we haven't received it. It's been over a month since the originally promised delivery date.
Watch out for her scam / fraudulent actions.
After this incident we found out that they received a grade of "F" for Fail from the Better Business Bureau (BBB)

Unfortunately for us, we discovered this after we already paid our deposit because the information wasn't readily searchable via the google search engine. We had to go to the bbb site to look them up. How we know the sites to check before dealing with an unknown business. We wish more people would provide reviews of companies, especially fraudulent ones.
We are in the process of filing a complaint with the Consumer Protection Branch at the Ministry of Consumer Services (who also have a consumer beware list of companies that have had complaints against them). We have filed complaints with the BBB, Canadian Anti-fraud Center, kijiji (where her ad is posted) and notified the Ottawa Citizen who published a story featuring her company.
