WordExpress ,ABC Word Express translators are not paid on time or are not paid at all Beverly Hills California
I've been working as an interpreter and translator for over 18 years. I've been travelling around the world, lived in different countries, attended seminars, been a court interpreter, worked with the most important agencies in the world, but the treatment given to me by WordExpress is despicable to say the least.
A few years ago I was contacted by this agency to work on some legal texts. It was a rush project but I was able to meet their tight deadlines. I specified, on numerous occasions, that payment had to be made through paypal, since I lived in Israel, at the time, and any other form of payment wasn't acceptable.
For the first project, I was paid after 5 months and had to call them and send them faxes countless times. Everytime they told me a different story, that the work order was misplaced, or they even said that that project I ENTIRELY translated was assigned to another person. They even said that the check was in the mail, but I specifically requested to make payment through paypal, because if you send a check from the US to Israel, chances are it will get lost. Lastly, after arguing with them, they paid through paypal, as I wanted, they apologized for any inconveniece.
I gave them a second chance, because anybody can make a mistake. We are human, after all. But giving them a second chance, was my biggest mistake. It has been months now and I haven't been paid yet, and I'm sure I won't get paid. They say that they sent a check, but why did they send a check if I requested to get paid through paypal? They don't return my calls, they don't answer my emails, and it has been very distressful. Now it's not even for the money, it's a principle.
This is so unprofessional and it's sad that I had to work for them to get ripped off. I'm sure this is just an excuse, no check has ever been sent. It would have been easier, even for them, to pay me through paypal, as they did the first time.
If you ever want to work with them, make sure you get paid BEFORE and not AFTER the assignment is completed.
