Having filed a ripoff report on 1/28/04, I then E-Mailed world benefits. The next day received a call from Scott Richardson. No progress at that time. E_Mailed again that day, no response, E-Mailed again the next day and Mr. Richardson called. He wanted more information and I sent it to him and he again called.A lot of company deniel and trying to lay blame on me and I wouldn't concede to any blame. I told him that I had recorded all conversations, had called the FTC and the FCC, the Attoraney General, made a police report. I also informed him that I had contacted the T.V. stations and had it put on the news. I also told him that I had run an add in the local newspaper. I also told him that I was filing a claim in district court. He hung up with no resolution. I think he was checking to see if I had, indeed done these things, (which I had) He called me back on February 5, 2004. He told me that he was going to send a refund of $269.99. The original request for $299 was not being sent because of "paper work and processing" because I was not going to pay for his mistakes and I informed him that I was not paying for any processing and that if the full amount of $299 was not refunded, I would continue with legal means. After much heated discussion, he finally conceded with the original amount, telling me that he was doing me a favoar by refunding the money because he didn't want me to have any more problems, and that he knew that to go to court would be a hardship on me. I informed him that it wasn't a hardship and that if I did go to court that I would get much more than the $299. I would collect for punitive damages as well as financial loss. When he found out that I wasn't going to budge one bit he told me that he would send the refund. I gave him 10 days to get it to me. If the money wasn't here in the 10 days I would pursue with the court system. Now, if anyone else is having problems I suggest you drive them crazy with e-mails ( [email protected] ) Also record all conversations.(a recorder is only $39.95) call the FTC and the FCC. File a police report. Call the Attorney General of N.Y., call your T.V. station, put an add in the newspaper. Won't cost anything if you have a reporter do an interview, and DO NOT GIVE AN INCH!!!!!!!!!. Continue with the E_mails and they will give you a refund because this is taking up their time, is driving them crazy, and they are afraid of legal intervention. They don't want the publicity. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE. Stick to your demands, and you will get the refund.
