I was almost taken in by these people. I thought they were from my bank (because they said they were) They had my social security # and my personal bank account number. I wasnt sure so I had them call me back the next day.
In the meantime I contacted my bank and they didnt contact me about a credit card with a 2000$ credit limit with an apr of 3.9%. So I got all the info I needed from world benefits and filed a complaint with The F.T.C. @ 1-877-438-4338. I also put a fraud alert on all of my credit reports for free.
You can do that through equifax @ 1-800-525-6285. They were very helpful. If you call world benefits and the line is busy my advice is be persistant and continue to try until you get through.
