EDitor's UPDATED info 2-20-04: Rip-off Report is still receiving complaints that they are not receiving the refunds as promised. Rip-off Report has been in contact with the Company and has made them aware of these issues. They have assured us that refunds are being given to those who are providing them with all the correct contact information requested by them. They have also provided confirmation/proof of over 2,600 refunds to date, on a spreadsheet, and Rip-off Report staff called and verified more than a dozen consumers at random, all very angry & outraged, but, they all did get their refund. The company again apologized for the delay and reported that credit to your account could take as long as 4-5 days. As we understand it, this company only does the processing for all the other companies, so they are at the mercy of those companies funds, further delaying your refund.

Rip-off Report is hoping they will live up to what they have promised, we think they will, ..we'll see. Rip-off Report will continue to investigate more into this situation, and we will eventually post an UPDATE to the main Report at this web address: https://www.ripoffreport.com/view.asp?id=76605

Please be patient, we can only tell you what they are telling us.

CLICK HERE to see how World Benefits contacted Rip-off Report, stating they will give REFUNDS to unsatisfied customers.

I was called by this company back in September 2003, regarding an offer of a free credit card of $2000, and a credit repair kit. The lady told me that I was already qualified, and had been selected because of my credit report. I asked who had authorized the checking of my credit report and she said it was public information. I questioned it and she said the credit repair kit and credit card offer was only good for 24 hours. She said all I needed was a checking account # and the authorization for them to deduct $299 from my account, for a one time fee. I gave her my account # and asked that they money be deducted on Nov.24, 2003. It was deducted on that day.

Several weeks passed by, with no credit repair packet, or credit card. I called the toll-free # that I was given... 1-866-270-7076. I was given a different answer and excuse each time I called. I was also treated rudely, and was even cursed at by a woman named, "Tonya Blair". I was told they were backed up, and was promised that I would receive the packet and card by the end of December. December came and went. I called several times, mainly getting people who barely spoke English, and was hung up on. I asked for a supervisor several times and was always told they were "gone" or " unavailable". No one could even tell me what bank my credit card was issued with. I was told they were only customer service and didn't have that information.

I called and asked for a refund, and was told a refund was "impossible" and "not going to happen".

I called yesterday, and they phone number was disconnected.

I need that $299 dollars. I could have done much better things with it. I am putting 3 children through school and work hard 6 days a week to provide for my family. That $299 could really come in handy.

Please, please help me get my money back. And let me know how I can help you help other people in this same situation.

Thank you, sincerely,

Jeannie
