Worldwide Preferred Publishers Service And Family Readers Club harrassing phone calls and unable to cancel subscriptions Rodonda Beach California And Plattsburgh Nyrodonda Beach And Plattsburgh
back about 2 years ago i recieved a phone call from a company selling magazine subscriptions and at the time i agreed to it thinking i had always had good luck with these kinds of companys before...little did i know then thats when the trouble would start..
it began with phone calls up to 7 times a day with the premise that *we are getting calls from our clients about other companies* it reached the point i told them the only harrassing calls im getting is from you..i have had to resort to cancelling one checking account and debit card and getting a new one because both of these companies take out 49.95 and 39.95 each month and some times more than that till i was always over drawn on my account.
now i am getting calls from their collection departments even after i have tried to cancel my orders...they orginally said i had 10 days to do so...but guess what....i still get the harrassing phone calls.i have been told i owe them the original price of 39.95 and 49.95 a month or the total of more than $1100 from one and $700 from another.is there anything that can be done to end this?

i am in the same boat, i get one magazines saying it won't renewal and next thing i know i am being charged twice, i think i am talking to readers services but come to find out i am talking to either family readers club or readers club home office, how do i cancel all 6 of these companies i am in debet and can't afford this any more. what can i do can anyone help me please. what are my options

Family Readers Club is using an address which is actually located at a mail drop in Plattsburgh, NY!

A legitimate company would not be using a mail drop in a town which is 20 miles from the Canadian border! This usually indicates an unscrupulous Canadian scam artist who thinks that he can hoodwink his victims by giving them an American mailing address! If I were you, I'd file a complaint with the New York State Attorney General's Office and the United States Postal Inspection Service against, not only the company that ripped you off, but Weena Boyle, the owner of "Plattsburgh Mail and Shipping Center", the mail drop which facilitates these kinds of ripoff artists!

today in recieved a phone call from some one claiming to be from the legal department telling me they were going to take legal action against me now for none payment..even after i have tried to cancel my subscriptions...what can be done about these people?
