Sorry, but you're screwed. The FBI doesn't care. I had one of these guys try to scam me out of $6500 for a $50,000 car, and I had him set up perfectly. I knew where he was in Michigan, and a ton of information on his scam. I called the police, the FBI, Homeland Security, and NOBODY cared. They wouldn't do anything to stop this guy. The FBI said they wouldn't even take a report if I didn't pay the guy, but if I paid him, he would be long gone before the FBI even thought about an investigation. So, sadly, you are out $3000. Never pay for ANYTHING using Western Union. NEVER NEVER NEVER. And remember, if it sounds too good to be true, IT IS!

NEVER use Western Union to purchase anything!! What were you thinking?? You should consider yourself very lucky that someone was on the ball. Especially when buying from the internet. ONLY use a MAJOR credit card that has fraud protection and rights of dispute. Or a VISA-M/C branded debit card. If you don't have either of these, I strongly suggest you do NO internet buying at all. If a seller does not accept credit cards, it is a good indicator that they are not REALLY in business anyway. This is just good, common sense.

Actually, you should be on your knees thanking the Western Union rep for NOT sending your money. You should contact the other sites where the bike is being sold and tell them about this guy so nobody else will fall prey to these crooks.
