I ordered a "trial sample" of Revitalize Eye Cream for $4.99 plus shipping. There was no text or check box indicating that I agreed to a monthly subscription for $180.00 per month. By the time I noticed the charges on my credit card, they had already billed me for 2 months. The first $$180.00 is just to pay for the small bottles of eye cream you already received for the "trial offer." I disputed the charges through Capital One, my credit card company.
I disputed the charges through Capital One, my credit card company.
A fraud specialist from Capital One called with me on the line. We were hung up on two times. Finally on the third call, a rep spoke with us who said that I could cancel the subscription but there were no refunds. When the credit card rep asked to speak to a supervisor, we were told that the supervisor was not available in our case because the Capital One rep was "unprofessional," - I suppose by asking for a refund to my account. The Capital One rep was completely professional and polite, and she continued to ask for a refund - finally, they agreed to refund one month's charges (still waiting to see if this happens).
I asked for the name of the CEO and the address of the company - the Revitalize rep said she was not allowed to give out that information. This is a complete scam. I am sharing the information below in case anyone else has been taken in by this fraudulent advertising and would like to help put them out of business by submitting formal complaints.
