I've been shopping on the internet since the late '90's and have never been scammed till now. As an IT Pro, I know if it's too good to be true, it probably is... should have known better with this one.

here's my little story...

I ordered several pairs of sunglasses from this company using a credit card. After registering for the site, before my purchase, I was reassured by an email that explained how the site provided complete order history and tracking and assuring me that their customer service would be prompt to reply to any concerns.  Their site goes to great lenghts to not only appear legitimate but to also explain why it's important to purchase authentic glasses as opposed to knock offs. Last but not least, they accept credit cards and I knew that I have some protection if the deal goes south. I ran searches against "shopfashionshades" on bing and google and all that came up was thier website, so I speculated there was no negative feedback.

I suspected a problem shortly after I completed my transaction when I did not recieve an automatic order confirmation and clicking the order history link took me to a page that said "No Order History Avaialable". After waiting 24 hours and not recieving any confirmation I emailed the customer service person MarryLi at [email protected] asking for confirmation of my order with details as well as tracking information. Shortly thereafter I recieved a note asking for my order number (I did have a screen shot of the order confirmation number). They provided a USPS tracking number but not the order details.

A few days later the shipment showed up on USPS.com enroute from Shanghai, and about a week later it was at my door. Upon opening, I found several pairs of sunglasses (more than I had ordered) but they were not the ones I had ordered - not even close. After several back and forth emails including photos, the seller refused to accept any wrong doing saying "our employee said he put the correct items in the package"- they offered me two choices- either return the glassses at my expense ($100) or accept the glasses they sent for a $50 discount.

When I told them thier offer was unacceptable, that the incorrect shipment was their fault and I felt they should pay for the shipping. I was very careful to not accuse them of anything. Their response was to bully me calling me a "liar and a fraud", and accusing me of wanting to keep the glasses they sent without paying. That was it for me.

At this point I've filed a dispute with my credit card company and I'm waiting for them to complete thier investigation. I notified the seller of what I have done and if they have a change of heart and agree to take the glasases back, that I'd be willing to send them at their expense....

I've checked the address against whois (wish i had done that first) and found the owner has about 676 other domains. Right!

Hopefully this will come up when someone searches for fashionsunglasses or Chin Cheng or MaryLi and I'll save someone else the headache.
