Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I wrote my life story after i almost died from having meningitis in 05 and unfortunately diagnosed with AIDS.  I had worked 30 years as a US Marine and electrician and may have been infected through donations in the early 90s of plasma or it could of been through hetero sex, either way it happened and i had to quit my job as an electrician.  So I filed ssdi and was approved then decided I might as well write a book if I cant work.

I wrote my life story and finally after a year of working on it decided to have it published.  I ended up choosing Xlibra's 1200.00 package whch included everything from what they told me.  I was estatic, I actually thought I was getting a break.  The package was half off too, couldnt beat it.  So my total was a little over 600.00 and my first payment was 208.00 which I gladly paid.  i was then sent an email which had a PDF file which I was to sign and send back.

Im not sure what for.  But I printed it and tried the fax machine and it didn not pick up on their end.  I contacted my representative from Xlibra, a Joy Daniels who said try again and so I did , all three of them...no answer.  It was at this time which probably was a week after my first payment I started to wonder what was going on, I wasnt panicked, it just seemed weird.  The phone calls and emails after my first payment stopped.

I couldnt get through and the emails I did get from Joy Daniels were vaugue and really seemed to focus on the money rather than my book.  I understand she is from another country and her English is well, poor but this was a business I thought that would handle my publishing, I didnt care who they were English, Spanish, whatever.  The emails stopped altogether and I heard nothing for a month until I recieved a call from the finance department for Xlibra wanting my 2nd payment.

I told them I could not pay until their was proof my book was being worked on being published.  I was told I needed to talk to Joy Daniels who had stopped responding to emails.  I was getting themajor runaround and figured I had just lost 200.00 from them and that was it, I recieved one more email saying my account was on hold until the payment was made.  I didnt pay it but told them if the book is being published then I would, I needed proof, not emails, I was not responded to.

Finally I forgot about it, and published my book on Amazon through (((competitor's name redacted))) which was free.  Iwish I would of known, would of saved me alot of problems.  in a couple weeks, on May 5th 2012, I got an email  again from Xlibra saying they had charged another 200.00 something dollars to my debit card.  I almost broke down again...Ive lost over 430.00 to these people and recieved nothing..i have the debits on my direct express card to prove it.  I have since cancelled and renewed my direct express card so they cannot charge me again.

Other than that they got away with 400.00 something bucks out of me and gave me nothing, zero, no servces at all.  I understand its a bad economy but when people like this ripp people off with no recourse, no remorse and no feeling about it, I cant help but want to thow up...I put my faith in them to do  a job and in the end it was all about a dollar for them, I am extremely disaapointed and wish someone would file a class action lawsuit because I know Im not the only one who has been decieved and ripeed off.

sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company, ..plus, if you post a competitors name more than likely they will show up on search engines as a Rip-off! - - your comments on this policy are welcome. CLICK here to see why Rip-off Report, as a matter of policy, deleted either a phone number, link or e-mail address from this Report. In this case we removed an alleged competitors name
