This complaint is about Yahoo Internet Life and Mac Publications. Last January, I subscribed to YIL, the monthly magazine. Their web site indicated that a 2-year subscription was $53.97.
My credit card statement indicated later that Mac Publications had billed me $93.97 for this subscription.
I have sent YIL's customer service department several E-mail messages and they always send a reply saying "you will receive one from a representative within 2 - 3 business days." Twelve weeks have passed since my subscription. Eight weeks have passed since I first wrote.
Customer service always promises to call me back, but to date, I have not heard from them. I am disgusted by such dishonesty and chicanery and I am now doing all I can to get a refund. After all, I am yet to receive the first issue.
