I am supposed to send $1,859 to to cover the tax to her in Houston, Tx at which time the gaming commission would send me the balance. Scarborough Ontario

Ontario Gaming Sweepstakes Prize, 2nd prize, $120,000. Sent Check to cover taxes.$2,550.00. I am supposed to send $1,850.00 to Renee Karras to cover the taxes to her at 136 Drew Street, Houston Texas, 77004 at which time the gaming commission would send me the balance. Check drawn on 'Mercantila, Inc.' 665 Chestnut Street, 3rd Floor, San Fransisco, Ca.94133-2362. Check drawn on Citibank in Delaware.
Check sent looks absolutely perfect down to the microprinting and watermark.
The giveaway are the Ontario Gaming Rules posted on the internet. This is the second Canadian scam I've received. Last one was a cashier's check for $3,700.00 drawn off a credit union in the U.S. Same routine, different addresses.
Is there a scam network out there where they all get together and compare notes?
