My case involved a company name YTB, I was constantly call and e-mail until i foward my $500.00 to YTB. after i recieved my package from the company and found out that i could not become a certified travel agency, i asked for my money back. they tryed to bill my credit card for more money over the next two months. the upline person that had been calling and e-mailing me stop communicate with me. for one year i have been trying to get my money back. my recent effort from this came in an e-mail saying i did not file a refund within 5 days sorry charlie we can't help you and stop calling and e-mailing us. a ripoff and a scam, i wonder how many other California's have had this happen to them. these are the kind of people you like eliminate off the face of this Earth. Is their anything can be done about this kind of company operating in California, leading you to believe that you can become a travel agency in CA. KNOWING THAT WHOM EVER THEY BRING IN can't become certified in CA.

I am also a "Member" of YTB. I have pursued this MLM for a couple of years... only to make about $50.00... NOT WORTH THE TIME AND $$$$$ DON'T DO IT!!! As explained... $500.00 to sign up and $50.00 per month to run a web site no one will use... beleive me I tried to book travel and it's way too exspensive...there are no "travel perks" either.... NO cash back / commissions. I can't even feed a dog on their commissions LOL!!!

It's the way a comapny practices business that makes it bad. YTB IS A BAD. I hope they go bankrupt. It's sad how they abuse their power. I just hope people realize that and STAY AWAY FROM YTB. What has this world gone to?

My best friend is in YTB and is certified. She lives in California. I do not see why you wouldn't be able to get certified in California. You must make a few travel bookings before you can get your credentials, but YTB is a travel business, not one of those "card mills". If you were just looking for a way to scam some cheap travel then you picked the wrong company, but I haven't seen any sort of bad business practices from YTB. Everything they have ever said to me or my best friend in California, has been completely honest and straight forward.
