Complaint Review: Zingow - Los Angeles California

I am sort of confused with all things concerning this company to be honest. With all of those names given and associated with one main address??? Wow! I wish that I had known more on this company before I had decided to accept employment. As a matter of fact I actually accepted a position to work for them 2wks ago when it was called www.myhomeselects.com and now it is called www.homespriceline.com from home and had to pull myself away and stop taking calls to completely analyze the legtimacy of the whole ordeal. Just seeing these complaints raises more than an eyebrow. The agent Log In sites keep changing as well as the script and rules. When the customer calls in to inquire about the ad they saw and you can't pull up the actual ad to assist them with that property it is so frustrating. I mean you have to immediately try to move into persuading them that there is a fee to have more access to that property as well as to have access to additional properties across the US. This fee can be adjusted on a sliding scale from low to high that would make it worthwhile. Then the key points of interest is that each price selection is tailored to the clients interest and specifics. Can you say HARD SALE???????? I am used to making very good money in the ranges from $18 to $35 per hour for other projects that I have done in the past. It's just hard to find those legitimate online opportunities. Times are too hard to be dedicating hours upon hours a day and not generating any funds. I'd much rather be paid for my hours of logging in and taking the calls and make commision on the sale honestly. The compensation when you work from home is 20% of each sale and you do get paid weekly. As far as those that work for the company at a call center and are making the proposed $8/hr and I guess commission too well I say good for them. At least if their time is being wasted they are at least making a buck, right? So I think I am going to see what else comes up on this company. By the way I forgot to mention that the trainers are two young guys and they do a fast paced orientation over the phone. When you need specifics answered about the legitimacy of the company and if they are registered with the BBB wow you should really hear the lame excuse they give. Doesnt the response above sound just a little too sticky and sweet. Of course it does it was probably written by a company employee or even the owner. All of the positive responses i have read online seem to be very similiar in wording. Besides why would you take your time writing a positive review that long with all of the kissy kissy compliments ? 99.9% of the positive reviews i have read online over a 12 year period are usually short and sweet. I have seen so many bad reviews and no good reviews online about zingow it is just very hard to believe it was that easy even if it did happen. Now I myself am a victim. My daughter sent zingow $200.00 for a list of forclosures in our local area. A list that you can obtain absolutely free if you know where to go. I really wish she would have talked to me about this before she paid them but she didnt. Now months later and numerous phone calls later when she ask for a refund she gets put on hold and eventually hung up on. When she does talk to an actual voice she is lied to. zingow is a group of companies all with the same street address in the Los Angeles area. My suggestion is do not waste your money with them. They are not a worthy company. Greed and heartlessness are a couple words that come to mind. What nerve to come into our country and start ripping off our elderley and working class citizens. We have to put a stop tp bad practice such as this. We are mad as hell and not going to take it anymore. You just cant rip people off anymore and expect to get by with it. I want to see these people serve prison terms. I feel so much better now.

On January 27th, 2009 I found ZINGOW while looking for homes on Craig's List. I called and reached a marketing firm whose obvious job was to sign me up, but they were well infomred. The fellow asked in what area, size, and price was I looking. He did a search and said that there were several homes meeting my criteria. After a few more questions he explained the process I would go through in finding a home and assured me that if was NOT satisfied in the first 7-days, the offer came with a 100% money-back gaurantee. I gave him my credit card. I was in. We started searching for homes immediately and did find several that met our criteria. We drove by a few, we called their customer service line and went through their site in more detail to understand how their process worked. Their Customer Service folks called us back every day for the few days we used them. If we had more time to put into finding a home, this would be a great service for us. The agent we signed up with was accurate in describing what would be expected of us, but in the excitement of wanting to get started we didn't really appreciate the attention this process would require. On the evening of Jaunary 29th, after three full days of reading, searching, and learning the process, my wife and I decided it would be too much work and decided to exercise the gaurantee. That evening I called the same number that I signed up with; the marketing company. They once again assured my of the guarantee, but said I would have to call the ZINGOW Customer Services line during regular business hours. I have to admit I was concerned. At this point I looked up ZINGOW in RIPOFFREPORT.com, and found a few comments from people that didn't feel they were treated right. But since I had used my credit card, I fingured I could always challenge the charge and fight it that way if I got any flack. I became slightly more concerned when I called ZINGOW's Customer Service line and the girl, very happy personality on the phone, ask me why I wanted to stop service, what was I dissatisfied with, am I sure, and everything else you would expect from a highly motivated employee. At the end of the conversation I simply said, "I have no complaints with your service or offering, it is simply not a fit with my needs at this time." I continued, " The effort required takes more time than I have available at this time, so I wish to exercise your gaurantee." While the reps mood changed slightly from joyful to sad (but never negative), she said, "Okay, but you have to call another number and they will take care of you." I called the other number. I reached Edwina. Edwina was wonderful. Totally professional. She asked for my name and why I wanted the refund. I said exactly what I said above and she replied by instructing me to write a letter requesting the refund, providing my NAME (as I signed up for the service, so they can match the request with my account), DATE of purchase, and AMOUNT, and that I had to have it postmarked by February 1st. She added that depending on the credit card the refund would either be credited to the card or returned to me as a check. She asked me to please allow 30 days for the refund. I wrote the letter on on the 30th, had it postmarked on the 31st. On February 1st, while routinely checking my credit card transactions, I noticed the credit from "Costom Search" (aka ZINGOW) had alreay been posted to my credit. Edwina acted on my call in anticipation of my letter. I couldn't ask for better service or integrity. ZINGOW is good with me. Edwina is good with me. Nobady can tell me this business rips people off.
