It looks like Rip Off Report redacted my links on how to fight debt collector lawsuits for Hanna and Zwicker, and for help blogs. For help with the lawsuits you can do a Google search for a book and webtsite by Allen Harkleroad titled “Stick it to sue happy debt collectors.” The help blog I linked is Next Level Unlimited Credit. I do not have any stake in any of these sites, I am just posting to try to help other consumers. I do understand why Rip Off Report redacts links though.

Hey Guys,
This is to all to people that wrote about Zwicker & Associates. About 6 months ago, my health went down hill and my credit cards that I had put my Medical bills on previous just got too much for me, I went with a Debt Settlement Company for only 3 months and that was because they were not helping me and Zwicker started calling and harrassing me. I was so upset, I called all my Creditors and 2 of them were so willing to work with me and no more interest and a payment that I could afford. Discover would not even talk to me except to give me a telephone number to call. I begged and wrote letters to Discover and ask them to work with me, I was not trying to get out of paying my Debts. Now, our President is bailing out all of these Credit Card Companies, etc. while I am being harrased by Zwicker. The Better Business Bureau told me not to not send any money to this Company because of their Reputation. I just got a Warrant in Debt for 9-18-09 for way more than I owe and the address on the Zwicker is Gaithersburg, MD. I thought they were from Andover, Ma? I have never had any problems like this before, and Zwicker is so ugly when they talk to you, no payment plan, it all or nothing or 2 payments or whatever they make up. I need some advice on what to do. I know I have to show up. HAs anyone else in this Zwicker group ever had a judgement from Zwicker and if so, what happened? I am not trying to get away from my debts, I just wish Discover knew who they have sold my account to. please email me ay [email protected] and if you know what I can do to get past this nightmare, I would really appreciate it. I have too many health problems right now to deal with this and I'm not happy at all with this crazy so-called Collection Agency. Also when you go to BBB.org, they have a "F" rating and so many bad negative reports against them. Thanks, Shay

I work for a debt settlement company and we had a client who was strong armed and scared into accepting their terms. We had her set up on a 24 month program paying off $12,000 in debt for $300 per month. She had one payment left before we began the negotiation process. For three months, these guys called her relentlessly day and night AND at her work she claims at least 5 times a day. When she told the agent that they could not call her work, their response was, "we can call you anytime and anywhere we see fit". She was unaware of the Fair Debt Collection Act and fianally after what she believes to be over 200 calls in a three month period, she could not take it anymore and caved in. They gave her 50 payments at $300 per month plus interest. Now, her $12,000 debt pay off is a little under $20,000! I tried to convince her to stay in the program and let us handle it, but she was so shaken, she was crying on the phone. This firm is evil. They are lawbreakers and I want to encourage you to seek legal action with the Attorney Generals office and the Federal Trade Commission as well as the BAR Association. You and our client are probably two of hundreds of thousands that these predators have duped into paying through illegal practices and misrepresentations, not to mention the consistent breaking of the Fair Debt Collection Act.
