Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I applied for a loan of $1,100 at the suggestion from Esperian, my Credit Report Company to increase my credit rating. Amplify Funding approved my loan and sent the $1,100 electronically to my bank account. I then found out they were going to charge me 400% interest for this money, so I immediately cancelled this loan which they honored.

To protect myself, I didn't know if they could get their $1,100 dollars back without me sending the money back to them. I didn't want to have them not being able to get their money back on their own so I sent them a check for $1,100 with the stipulation that if they got their money back themselves, then they were to not cash this check but to destroy it and let me know.

They ignored this stipulation and cashed my check anyway along with getting their money back on their own. They have, in numerous emails, told me they were going to send my money back to me but nothing has ever arrived. Each time I call them, I am given excuses of why the check has not arrived. I feel I am being screwed and I believe they have no intention of giving my money back to me.

You are still a moron

Perhaps you should read what I originally stated. I actually told you that you would get your money back, but not knowing any dates I said 3-4 months. You got it back in about 2. So you are ahead of the curve..Congratulations.

But that doesn't negate the rest of the comments that I and others posted that were 100% right on.

These comments that you feel were not constructive were comments that if you had followed them would have allowed you to avoid this entire situation. But if you feel that nothing is constructive in the comments then please do continue to get loans you don't need. Please continue to sign leagally binding documents without reading or understanding exactly what you are agreeing to.

Please do continue to just do what you "assume" instead of actually talking to the company first to determine the best course of action. Please do continue to write one-way stiuplations with the false belief that companies must abide by them.

Getting your jollies off

What do you do? Go through all the Rip-Off reports trying to get your jollies off? It's obvious you have no ambition other than to critisize and try to make fun of people's problems. All your comments are dumb to the core and you do not provide anything constructive in your analysis.

All those areas you talked about have nothing to do with the problem at hand and it's obvious the this problem is way over your head.

Oh yes when you don't get a response that agrees with your narrative you with the typical.."You must work for them". Well sorry to burst your bubble but this is a PUBLIC web site and as such the PUBLIC may come and post comments, and those comments may not agree with what want. So no, I do not now or have I ever worked for this or any loan company.

Legally, they can charge any interest rates they want and it's all perfectly legit.

You TOTALLY missed the point. Had you done what you should have done and checked out the Interest rate BEFORE you agreed to the loan you wouldn't be in this position.

I am complaining about their agreement to send me back my $1,100 and for two months now they have done nothing but make lame excuses

- Yea now you say this, but you were originally complainng that they ignored your "stipulation". The only reason you are now complaining about them not sending back your money is because it was pointed out that you are 100% wrong in thinking you could just do something like that and they must abide by it.

My reasons for applying for this loan is my affair and does not really enter into this at all.

- Sure it does. You said you got the loan to try and improve your credit score. The fact that you bascially ignored common sense shows why you need to improve it in the first place. You obviously take other "assumptions" in regards to credt that have caused you to be in a position to try and improve it by doing things such as taking out expensive payday loans.

You also took several assumptions in how to get the money back to them. Where if you took a minimal amount of time you would have found out that they were going to take the money back and you would not have needed to send them any money.

You still haven't given us any detail as to the "excuses" they have given.

You joined the exclusive club of morons who come to this site and think the people rebutting your complaint must work for the company.  This is a public website and as the public, we are entitled to respond.

Now, whoever gave you the advice that taking out a loan to increase your credit score is stupid, and then you opted for a payday-type loan company to boot.  Rather than do that, you should have at least researched how to improve your credit score instead.  This would have at least provided you some better options than obtaining a payday loan.

Now, go back and read the other rebuttal because this person provided you the proper manner in which this entire episode should be viewed.  After that, then do some research on how to improve your credit score and even go back to the idiot who gave you some really bad advice.

Your failure to divert blame.

The information you provide in your rebuttal makes It obvious you belong or have an interest in this company. I was not critizing the interest rates being charged for this loan. Legally, they can charge any interest rates they want and it's all perfectly legit.

I am complaining about their agreement to send me back my $1,100 and for two months now they have done nothing but make lame excuses. My reasons for applying for this loan is my affair and does not really enter into this at all. The main crutch of my complaint is the dishonesty demonstrated by members of this organization, saying one thing and not following through with what they promised.

This can only be classified as possible fraud and dishonesty.

Stipulation

Welcome to the Moron Hall of Fame.

So to improve your credit score you decide to get a loan you actually don't need.  Okay fine, not going to try and educate you on how stupid that actually is. But what I will say that in applying for this loan you failed to read any of the terms of the loan. Yes, the terms were disclosed BEFORE you agreed to the loan. YOU just failed to read them. Oh and don't say that you never saw the terms or they didn't provide them because they are required to per FEDERAL Regulations and in saying you never saw them you have just admitted that you agreed to something without even knowing what you were agreeing to.

But what really put you into the Hall of Fame is your "stipulation" that they can't cash the check. By you sending it you authorized the check being cashed, they are not bound by any sort of "stipulation" you put on sending the check. For that to be binding you would have to have a written AND signed agreement between you and the company specifying the conditions can be cashed.  I can guarantee you that you have no such document.  As if you had they would have told you how they are going to get their money back.

To protect myself, I didn't know if they could get their $1,100 dollars back without me sending the money back to them.

- Here is an original thought. Perhaps when you talked to them about cancelling you could have asked how to get the money back to them. Did they tell you to send a check? Did they say they woud just reverse the withdraw?

Each time I call them, I am given excuses of why the check has not arrived. I feel I am being screwed and believe they have no intention of giving my money back to me.

- So what are the reasons? On this though you may be right, you are probably being screwed in at least having your money tied up. But YOU are the one that caused it. You will likely get the money back, but it probably will be another 3-4 months of back and forth.
