Be wary of this dealership. Bought a 2014 Range Rover based on over 100 photos from dealer. I’m in Illinois and dealer is in Texas. Car arrived with $6-8,000 damage; broken windshield, dent in rear door, damaged wheel, transfer case issue and 1,500 extra miles than shown in original photos and sale docs 1 week prior. BOL from transporter shows pix of damage at time of pick up from dealer but not in orig photos. Dealer refuses to accept responsibility.
I think someone took "my car” on an adventure while I was in the process of buying. Dealer then offers a pathetic ¼ the cost "ex-gratia payment” but only in exchange for a release doc with a gag order on me before paying out. The agreement also contains many other things for me to agree to with all sorts of legal implications that would strip me of all my consumer rights as a buyer. And in addition, with all good conscience, I simply could not sign for the protection of others.
I think these guys have a habit of this and perhaps the agreement is their "standard one” because it happens way too often. Perhaps the agreement is designed in such a way that they know a person would not sign! What a bunch of dishonest sellers. People make mistakes, but own them and be responsible for them. How absolutely dumb and stupid is this? Your tongue is hanging out so far because you just had to have THAT car so YOU threw COMMON SENSE out the window! You send off your money to somebody you don’t know to buy a dumb used car you’ve NEVER seen; NEVER test driven; NEVER listened to the engine; NEVER checked for body damage or fit and finish; NEVER checked all accessories for operation; NEVER checked for interior damage; NEVER felt the transmission shift; NEVER checked the tires and brakes!
The ONLY criterion you use is pictures on a screen which you have no clue from what car those pictures are from, words on a screen and a voice on the other end of a phone! You just had to have THAT car, no matter what! You don’t even have the slightest clue of the condition of the car but you blindly send off your money without using even a thimble full of COMMON SENSE! I’ll bet you didn’t even bother to check the repair frequency and repair expense of this thing because it didn’t matter because you just had to have THAT car!
Here we are today, you come here to cry, whine, stomp your feet and wail because, surprise surprise they sold you a piece of junk because they knew you were dumb enough to throw COMMON SENSE out the window because you just had to have THAT car no matter what! Do get your self some professional help. Some deep therapeutic counseling and maybe medication will help you. The courts will appoint a fiduciary to manage your money and provide you with a small allowance because you have shown to be a danger to yourself and your money. It is absolutely astounding even in 2021 with all these alleged "smart people” around there are those of you who have absolutely ZERO COMMON SENSE!
