Bro, seriously, cut it the f*** out. As I stated before, you’re just another fool who couldn’t hack it in our munanso or in this religion. So you pull the race card to try and justify your outlandish claims. I’m not the only African American in Macho’s house. I have plenty of African American godsiblings that would back up anything I say about our godfather and then some. It sounds like you’re a little b**** and because Macho didn’t cater to you like a b**** you got all in your feelings. You thought you were special and when you realized you AREN’T your feelings were hurt and your little world caved in on you. Being scratched doesn’t mean you automatically get taught and and everything. You have to first prove yourself. By showing up consistently. Sweeping and moping floors, doing dishes, etc. to You have to put in the time, dedication, sacrifice and effort and show the f*** up! Otherwise you don’t get to learn. It’s that simple. And Macho telling you to learn Spanish wasn’t because he’s discriminating on you. He told you that for your own benefit. The Kongo slaves didnt speak English. They spoke a creolized Spanish and Kikongo. So it woild behoove you to learn the language of the f****** religion you’re trying to practice. None of our prayers or vocabulary is in English. So how did you expect to really learn Palo and understand what’s going on and being said? You need to learn the language of the practice dumb dumb. That’s common f****** sense!!  Let’s start off by saying you don’t know what happened between us you’re literally irrelevant in the whole situation. First off Carlos the truth monger introduced me to macho which they had a falling out . I don’t really care why. When I first met macho I visited his home observed his behavior. He portrayed himself as a kind person who (pretends) to care about potential godchildren. The twist to him was once you become apart of his munanzo the real character he portrays himself to be goes away and he starts mistreating you. Im coming to him about palo he’s all into my love life which seemed to be his only focus. He’s asking me if the person I was seeing at the time had a sister. Now you tell me if that’s appropriate? You moron he did owe me something as a godparent who initiated me he’s responsible for my growth in the religion. You obviously do t know what the meaning of Godfather is. Ironically he was quick to present me to his Nganga and initiate me to only treat me differently because I’m black. You sound like a coon let’s not play that game. I heard him verbatim tell me I need to learn Spanish. Oh yeah let’s not forget him embarrassing people by giving readings openly and giving privacy to his favorites.  You’re literally a stranger who’s never been around for the nonsense & the foolishness. You can take your opinions and shove it somewhere. My experience is my experience. Good for you ! Unfortunately that wasn’t my experience. Lol they use a spiritual way a life to make them have excuses to behave like complete total dicks.  First off let me say that I am an African American. Born and raised in San Francisco, California. I do not speak fluent Spanish and I was not raised in the Afro Cuban traditions of Palo or Lucumi. I moved to New York in 2010 at the age of 24 and got into these traditions several years later after they found me. The statements given by this individual about my godfather are completely false. Since the first day i walked into Macho’s munanso I have been treated with nothing but the utmost respect. And here I am, a few years later and the relationship I have with my godfather has only strengthened over time. To the point I dont consider him just my godfather but he’s also one of my best friends. And I know that sounds cliche but Macho is one of the easiest godparents to get along with if you genuinely come to him with a pure heart and no malice intent; or you’re only coming around to take take take from him. People come around our munanso with fantasies of grandeur of gaining infinite power as a witch or whatever. And after coming around for some time they realize Palo isn’t a magic pill you eat and then you’re granted infinite power over the world. And I believe they get frustrated by that. Macho doesn’t require any of us (African American god children) to speak Spanish to learn from him. I don’t speak Spanish AT ALL and I have learned just as much as any other godsibling that was born speaking Spanish or learned it at some point in their life. Never has Macho told me I couldn’t learn something because I don’t speak kikongo or Spanish. He will even go as far as to translate things for me from Spanish to English in order for me to have a deeper understanding as an English speaking person. I think it’s bullshit that you’re tryna throw dirt on Macho’s name and you weren’t even around long enough to learn from him or get to know him. Yes, my godfather is loud. Yes my godfather likes to curse. Yes, he can be crass and all that other stuff. But that’s what makes him so great! His personality cuts through all the bulls*** and soft a** p**** mutha f***** that come through his door. As an African American from California, I say this s*** with my whole chest, YOU DIDN’T STICK AROUND BECAUSE YOU COULDN’T CUT IT AS A PALERO. Simple and plain. Palo is not a soft n**** spiritual art. It’s not. So for you to come on the internet speaking this s*** like my godfather owed you something…GET THE F*** OUTTA HERE WITH YOUR BULLS***!! Macho is one of the most giving godparents in these traditions. I know because I had 3 godparents before I found them. People who were liars, cheats, drug addicts, etc. he is the only one to really take me under his wing and truly teach me what it means to be a Palero. He’s taught me how to be a Tata Nkisi Malongo. And I’m still learning. And will continue to learn until I leave this planet. AND IM DOING THIS ALL WITHOUT BEING A FLUENT SPANISH SPEAKER!!!
