Crown Office Supplies This company preys on small businesses who wants to build credit with Dun & Bradstreet - they do NOT sell office supplies, only kids home schooling supplies - and refuse to refund $99 within minutes of being approved and making the annual payment - I contacted them as soon as I discovered they offer ZERO office supplies at Sheridan WY

This is a BOGUS program that claims to sell OFFICE SUPPLIES when they clearly only sell home schooling supplies, i.e. crayons, markers, kids backpacks, kids notebooks and other kids products. They call themselves CROWN OFFICE SUPPLIES and were recommended by a "formerly" reputable company (i.e. https://businesscreditbuilders.org) solely for the purpose of being rewarded for purchasing "office supplies" and those purchases being reported to Dun & Bradstreet.
I trusted that company and signed up for Crown Office Supplies "net 30" program so that I can purchase office supplies. However, once I was approved, I looked for office supplies to purchase - because I have the need to purchase paper, envelopes, a new keyboard and mouse, and other "typical" office supplies. I was FLABBERGASTED when I looked around their "office supply" products only to discover that they are LIMITED to pens and kids' notebooks, no actual office supplies are available at this website.
If they actually SOLD office supplies, which their business name infers, then I would purchase and gladly pay you the additional $99 annual fee for being kind enough to report to Dun & Bradstreet. These types of businesses have been around for DECADES (such as ULINE, QUILL, GRANGER... and the list goes on).
However, Crown Office Supplies preys upon companies trying to purchase office supplies and get credit for it, rather than simply going to the local office supply store when they want to establish business credit. Crown Office Supplies is charging an exorbitant fee of $99 on an annual basis for this privilege - when you clearly have nothing to offer by way of office supplies.
People assume if it's in your company name, that's what you do, but Crown Office Supplies is clearly NOT an office supply company, so paying them $99 to report purchases when they have no or little office supplies to purchase is a joke. Don't take my word for it, visit crownofficesupplies.com
I complained immediately/within minutes after being approved for their net30 program and paying the $99 annual fee, and searching their website for office products - here was their response:
Unfortunately, the $99 annual membership fee is non-refundable upon the terms signed when applying for the net30 account. All available supplies are available for viewing prior to applying.
If you'd like to close your account, I can go ahead and assist you with that. Thank you.

IN OTHER WORDS, they don't care if you purchase any items from them, they just want your $99 fee despite not offering the office supplies they advertise. They will have nothing to report to Dun & Bradstreet for said $99 annual fee if they do not have office products to sell you. Had I known a company was capable of "claiming" they sell something that they clearly do not, I would never have signed up. One would think you wouldn't have to "browse their office supply products" prior to signing up for their office products net-30 program if, indeed, they actually sold office supplies.
However, as stated above, see for yourself... they don't sell office supplies as they claim, only home schooling supplies. (Visit crownofficesupplies.com and see for yourself.)

While it is hard to believe that someone could miss the point so much, sadly you have shown why over 50% of new businesses fail. You just don't seem to get it.
I really hope no one recommends to you a site with names like "WeGiveYouaMillion", or "InstantMoney", because you would probably throw more money into those sites and then wonder why you got truly scammed. By your logic, I should be able to go to "HomeDepot" and find a house, yet I don't see a single house for sale.
You signed up for their "Net30" program. If you bought things from them and they didn't follow through with their reporting..THEN you may have a valid complaint. Until then you have not shown any scam on their part.
Even by your own admission and suggestion, you can view all of their products BEFORE you pay them a single dime. The fact that YOU failed to follow your own advice is not a RipOff(well except for the one you caused yourself). So again, nothing you have shown shows that they ripped you off, and if anything comes from this hopefully it is the lesson for YOU to actually do research before you hand over any money to other companies.
As for building credit, you can't build credit overnight. You may actually find it better to open a credit card(or two) in your business's name. You will have to guarantee it by your personal credit history, but over time you will not need to do that. Just don't come back and say you have a poor credit history.
At any rate, I believe the Better Business Bureau, Federal Trade Commission and State Attorney General's office will disagree with you, but that's just technicalities.
Well the BBB is NOT a government organization, has zero legal authority, and is actually paid for by businesses. As for the FTC and AG's office, the most you are going to get out of them is something very similar to this "Thank you for your dispute, while we can't follow-up on every complaint we will keep this on file. We can't give you any legal advice, so if you think you have a case please consult an attorney". If by some chance you get your money back, consider yourself very lucky.

If they had "office supplies" available, I would have purchased from them. However, there were no office supplies to purchase, so why would their name be "Crown Office Supplies" and why would people high up in the business credit industry recommend a fraudulent company who does not sell office supplies? I've followed this guy for a long time and trusted him and his recommendations, and this is the first time he has disappointed me.
Now, let me ask you this, if they name their business with the sole purpose of selling office supplies, why the hell don't they offer pads of paper, and other items one would think an office supply store would offer, that you could purchase just about anywhere... and if you don't have a personal interest in this business, why submit a rebuttal on their behalf? It doesn't make them right.
Furthermore, if they had a brain in their head, they would advertise what they sell so that they could actually sell more of the same, i.e. kids' home schooling products rather than trying to scam small businesses.
At any rate, I believe the Better Business Bureau, Federal Trade Commission and State Attorney General's office will disagree with you, but that's just technicalities.

It is great that you contacted them as soon as you discovered they didn't offer any supplies you wanted. But one has to ask why you didn't research their site BEFORE you paid them $99?
They were right. I was able to search their site and didn't pay them a dime. As a business owner, one would think that you would actually research companies before you decide to do business with them. After all what if they did sell supplies but sold them at 50x markup? What if they only offered 14-day shipping? What if they charged $50 per order to ship?
You shouldn't care who recommends a site, you should ALWAYS research the site to see if it meets YOUR needs. I hope that this is not part of your standard process to pay first and research later. If it is perhaps this $99 is a cheap lesson that you could learn from in the future.
