So I am an owner operator that dispatches for other companies as well we booked a load under my asscoaites MC# use the same rate con; nothing was changed or altered the driver that was a independent contrator decided he didnt want to deliver the load due to bad weather in denver and othe personal issues so instead he return the freight un damaged back to the shipper on his own ( no recovery). At one point the driver stopped answering our calls which made the broker nervous so we gave the broker his wifes number in hopes they could connect and they did and the load was safe. The broker was upset obviosuly since the load didnt get completed and filed a fake report and claimed we kept the freight hostage and was a doubel broker. This is so uprofessional and the broker should be removed, we did repond to the fake claime via carrier 411 but no alternative has been presented when rebutted, and as a result we are now blacklisted with brokers and cant get loads.

To the misguided soul that decided to repsond on a post they know nothing about the driver was driving under the same MC# the load was booked under broker already have drivers name and phone number so they knew who delivering the load nothing changed the driver had a personal issue with the load for whatever reason and returned the load that not double brokering know what you're talking about before u respond, you dont need a license to dispatch just a sigend agreement that gives you permission to secure loads on behalf of another carrier. IF i call in with an authorized MC and book as thier allowed agent and it only goes thru that one carrier then there's NO DOUBLE BROKERING people run under multiple MC's in this business now that may be frowned on but who cares it's not a crime as long as the freight and truck/ driver are insured/ Tires of shitty brokers crying over stuff when they rip us off daily with cheap freight

The shipper paid YOU to transport the freight. You offloaded it to someone else without the shipper's knowledge or consent. That's the definition of double-brokering and it's illegal. The shipper then got screwed over because their freight ended up being transported by someone they didn't actually hire. So sounds like the report is accurate. And yes, people don't like dealing with crooks, so they won't be hiring your firm.
