Global Discount Door and Service Corp Rob Bennett Unsuccessfully switched sensors and overcharged for nylon rollers Quakertown PA
On June 21, 2021 Rob Bennett was contacted about a problem with our garage door sensors that would not operate correctly because of sunlight. He switched the sensors and it functioned for two days. We were charged $119.00 When Rob came into the house to present the bill he informed us that he had replaced the metal rollers on the door with nylon rollers, He charged us $10.30 a roller for a total of $130.00. We never requested this repair. THE TOTAL BILL WAS $263.94. The nylon rollers were priced on Amazon and the average cost for 10 Nylon Rollers was $30.00.
When contacted on June 23,2021 he stated the "garage door was working when he left" and indicated that he would only rerturn if we paid another service call. As for the nylon rollers he insisted they were fairly priced.
On June 29, 2021 I contacted B&C Garage Doors to repair the door correctly. They replaced the sensors and chnarged me $55.00. They were prompt, courteous and efficent. I would highly recommend this business for and Garage Door Repair.
We were ripped of by Global Discount Door and Service Corp and Rob Bennett. There should be some legal recourse against this business and person.
