I was contacted by Eric Lazarus about doing a job. So I sat on the phone with him and sent several emails back and forth about the project. Wasting and entire 8 hour day trying to understand the scope of his project. So I said ok well I wasted enough time already.
What he does is go out and make it look like he's looking for people to work for him. Than just asks a series of questions allowing him to solve the problem on his own. I basically told him how to fix the first problem he was having over the phone. He couldn't figure out how to do something else. Than told me to wait for whoever else was working for him. To see if they could solve the problem, they did but ran into another problem.
So wait and wait and wait. Than I finally get an email from him saying that we need to do a conference call at 12:15 in which they were just trying to get me to tell them how to solve their new problem. Than I was told to get started on the job. All the while he never even made the deposit payment. Than once they'd pumped me for all the information they could get for free.
So be warned if this guy calls you he's just looking to pump programmers for information to solve all the problems that he cannot solve. He's obviously having problems my guess is he's not paying his other developers either. I cannot afford to spend 2 days worth of work sitting around waiting for this guy.
So unless you want to spend a whole lot of time trying to help someone out. Than they don't pay and go ghost on you. Than I wouldn't want to work for this dude. I've seen this scam happen many many times over the years and guess what. Now I am going to file a ripp off report every time someone wants to waste time because they have no money, and they think they are smart trying to pump you for information, that they simply aren't going to get untill they pay for it.
I've sat in this chair for 15 years and frankly I am sick and tired of People like Eric Lazarus trying to get work done for free. At this time, I am going to report the scam on several websites to set an example so that people like don't get the chance to get anyone to answer all his questions to solve his problems at the promise of work that he has no intention of ever paying for.
It says he is an expert programmer but I highly doubt it. He's not getting nothing from me. Until he pays me $200 for wasting not 1 but 2 days of my time. Than I might consider deleting my posts and working for him but he will require a retainer
