Ohio Truck Sales Reported truck with 100,000 miles with rebuild on the engine Sandusky Ohio
On September 17,2019 I purchased a 1999 Kenworth W900L with a Cat 3406E. The truck was advertised with 100,000 miles on engine rebuild. I was aware of the limited warranty but what they did to me was fraud.
The truck started having issues before the warranty ended. I contacted Ron and Jim at Ohio truck sales. I was told no need to bring truck back and the warranty didnt mean much. I hung up feeling like I was used and on my own. I had not gotten through hauling one haul before the truck went down.
I took it to the Kenworth dealership, they had to go into the engine. They reported there was no rebuild on the engine. A complete report was written up by Kenworth to indicate someone at Ohio Truck pieced together hoses and parts to get the truck off the lot but no rebuild as adveertised on paper.I paid $38,000 for the truck and now I would have to spend $37,000 for a rebuild I was told I had.
I called and told the manager what they did and asked they pay for the rebuild. I had a truck sitting at Kenworth with a load on it. They told me they could and would not do anything for me. I am now without a truck and unable to pay for the repairs or another truck. I am angry that they can get away with something like this. This is fraud. I will pursue them in court.
