M08003906 is ripping off home buyers, raising rates without their knowledge, charging huge fees, using bait and switch sales, and generally acting in a fraudulent manner. Mortgage Broker Rip-Off Scam Alert. I went into TMG The Mortgage Group in Ancaster, Ontario last year and wanted a mortgage for my home. I was referred to Preston Schmidt because of knowing his father, Ralph Schmidt. I was bait and switched by Preston Schmidt on the mortgage he prepared for me. He was charging huge fees and tried to raise my rates without my knowledge. If he would do this to a friend of his father, then rest assure he would do that by ripping off other home buyers. I will never go to him again and make sure you don't as well. I'm certain that he must have done this before while the mortgage market was good... RIP OFF!!
