Permission for Tax Defense Network to do my return

In June of 2015 I got a call from secretary at my work saying the IRS just talked to her about garnishing my wages because I haven’t filed taxes for approximately 8 years from 2002 to 2016.

I panicked not knowing what to do and searched on the internet for tax help when I ran across Tax Defense Network and called them to see what they could do to help me.

First I would have to fill out IRS form 8821 and return to them via fax to (407) 358-5408. My CAF#0304-06528R was, I have a copy of this as well.

I was also told I had to pay a deposit of $500 and then pay them $100 for the next 52 weeks.

They said they would file my past returns to the appropriate people in the IRS.

I thought for sure they would also file my tax returns to the State I resided in at the time, which was Maryland.

They did not file any tax returns at all to State of Maryland. This caused me more problems and further perpetuated my troubles.

As at that time I owed State of Md. over $8000 in taxes…

In the beginning, as I called and talked to Tax Defense Network, it was stated that I owed the IRS $5000 and how they could help me…

I was never told about contacting the IRS and setting up my own payment agreement with the IRS. I was told to have “no communication with the IRS”.

I also was not told that after they were done with my case, that in two years later, I would have to fill out and submit to the IRS another Indigency form which is only good for 2 years at a time.

So now I am out over $5000 and all they did was file my missing returns to the IRS and the first, initial IRS "indigent form".

This never stopped IRS penalties, continuing interest and fines which I later found out I was over $15,000 in debt with them…

If they would have given me proper information at the very onset of my conversation with Tax Defense Network,

I could have taken the money which I paid weekly to Tax Defense Network and could have set up a payment agreement with the IRS and paid the $5000 to the IRS

This would have cleared of my debt with them.

Rather than paying Tax Defense Network that $5000 and ending up with a $15,000 balance with the IRS.

What can you do to help me?
