Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I have been receiving calls from 001-819 for several days. I finally answered one and the man (with a very thick accent) began asking me if I was (name). I refused to answer him and he began asking me if I would like to purchase muscle relaxers and valium.

I asked him where he got my cell number and he again asked me to confirm my name, which I again refused to do. I repeatedly asked him where he got my number and he finally atated "on line purchases", which is nonsense. I attempted to ask the man what the name of his company was, but he refused. I then told the man that I was not interested and to please not call my number again.

Since then, this number has appeared on my cell phone 5 more times in 4 days. They never leave a message. I have contacted my cell phone company to make sure there is written proff that this is occurring. I do not know what else I can do to stop these people from harassing me.

Normally your phone company has an option to give you the ability to block specific numbers from calling. This information can be found on their website, or in the front of the phone book. For example, SBC allows you to do a line trace and press a key if you want to forward the information to law enforcement and press charges against the caller for harressement. They also allow you to hit *60 and add numbers to a block list. Otherwise, just pick up your phone and hit 0 to talk to an operator and I'm sure they can help you with it.

Pick up his next call and tell him that you changed your mind, but he needs to call you at your office number in a few minutes when you get to work. Be sure to give him the number of your local Drug Enforcement Agency office..unless he is totally brain-dead, he won't call you back. My brother-in-law got similar calls on his cell phone for awhile. Bad news for Drug Boy was that my brother-in-law is a narcotics officer and does work with the DEA on various stings and the information he got from these calls did get some people in Bombay, India busted.
