I was told by 200cash.com that I would be billed a $19 dollar application fee after my loan was approved. Well they billed me the fee and gave me no loan. There is no phone numbers or adresses to get hold of them. I tried the phone number given by others complaining in 2005 and it is disconnected.

I e-mail them and get no response. Considering they get $60 intrest off of $200 I do not think it matters if the company is small or not. They just want that initial fee which most companies on-line do not want. So it makes me think what are they really on-line for?

In my own experience, 200 Cash does rip off people. I have sent them numerous letters and only gotten very rude replies back. As far as I know they are the only pay day loan company on the internet to charge an application fee. I have filed a seperate report on them on this site and with the Better Business Bureau and my bank. Beware and wary of all payday loan services, they do have all your information and with identity theft becoming a huge problem these days, watch who you give your information out too.

first of all, cash advances cant sue you for anything. they can run their mouths on the tele and send alot of useless file 13 papers.(for those who dont know file 13 is a trash letter) you charging 19$ to people and making them think they are getting 200$ loan is in itself fraud. so dont be saying you can get people for fraud when you yourself are the frauduliant one. i hope old scratch pulls the covers from your feet at night, and the BBB has MANY reports on your company that are NO GOOD. you will be out of buissness soon.

Application Fee

1. There is a notice for the application fee on the last page of the application process. 2. The courts understand that "application fee" means a fee to apply and , like other industries, is non-refundable and is used by the company to offset application and credit / employment verification. (Many of us remember paying an app fee for an apartment rental app for example. This fee is never refunded if they don't approve you) He actually challenged me to find just ONE company that charges an app fee and refunds it to declined applicants... 3. The website allows the applicant to simply leave at any point and avoid the app fee carge. We tested this many times. 4. The "approval" notice is conditional. The text says "approved pending verification of your information". This allows them a chance to verify the information submitted before making the loan. 5. The approval (pending) notice comes AFTER pushing the submit button UNDER the app fee notice text, not before as someone said in an earlier post. We need to be careful about what is actually happening. Lots of companies charge an app fee because its (1) expensive to run applications and (2) it is supposed to keep the un-confident applicants away. The notice is right there, I don't have to agree and anyone can leave and by submitting the application work is created for the lender. I know a lot of you are upset about not being approved, but I encourage all of you to take a step back and objectively evaluate what is really going on. It is not as sinister as you make it out to be. As a final note, he saw that some people here have signed fraud statements with their banks. He said anyone who does this is crazy because they can be prosecuted themselves for fraud. (Saying they didn't authorize the fee when in fact they did and there is a record of it!!)
