About 9:30 p.m. I locked my keys in my car outside of an Autozone dealership in Horn Lake, MS. I used the internet on my phone to find a locksmith that would come after hours and that would also take a credit card. (I had no cash and was not around a bank).

I called the 24 Hour Emergency Locksmith which according to my google search was located just a few miles from where I was. When I called I was transferred to a call center in Memphis, TN. They quoted me a price of $39 for the call and $15 to open the door. I agreed to the services and was told that they would send a locksmith out shortly. The locksmiths cell phone number is 901-672-4074. He never gave me his name or had any identification. My guess would be that he was in his 30s and not from the united states based on his accent.

Within minutes the locskmith called me to confirm my location and told me he would be there shortly. An hour later, I called back to ask where he was as I was still sitting outside in 39 degree weather. The locksmith said he was on his way. I waited another 15 minutes before he called and told me he was in the wrong Autozone store.

After redirecting him to my location he finally made it. To open my car he pried the door open with an air pump and use a long stick to push the lock open. It took him less than 5 minutes to open my car.He charged me $169.00 for his services. I ended up paying the charges because I felt I had no other choice. It was late, cold, and I was in an unfamiliar neighboorhood.

The next day I called customer service where they were very rude and kept transferring me to different people to discuss my problem. They said the price was standard for the services and that it didn't matter how long it took to open the car or the tools they used it was their fee.

Hours later I called back and pretended to be locked out and asked for a quote. Once again they quoted me $39 plus $15 for the lock.

Hours later I had a lawyer friend call about reporting unfair charges they told me to fax them a representation letter before, but still refused to charge me a fair price; saying I paid a fair price for the services I got.

If you ever call these people you would be better off breaking out your own window and repairing it then calling on these scam artists. Total rip off and they have no remorse for taking advantage of people in tough situations!
