On a Saturday I ordered a Nikon camera from 24hrdigital.com because they had the lowest price on NexTag.

The next day, Sunday, a rep called to thank me for my order then began to try to up sell me on a battery, SD card, warranty, lens, memory stick and even a much more expensive camera.

When I said no thank you to all of this he asked if I knew that I was basically going to get a piece of crap camera from Japan, that everything would be written in Japanese, if I needed customer support I'd better know how to speak Japanese, and if I ever had a problem with the camera I'd have to send it to Japan for repairs.

I asked why they'd sell a piece of junk in the first place and he said I should have known based on the low price.  Then he said he'd go ahead and cancel my order.  I told him not to cancel and he hung up on me.

A couple of hours later I received an email stating that my order had indeed been canceled.

THEN I read reviews on this company and virtually every one of them reported the exact same scenario with one exception: if the customer insisted the order go through, the rep would tell them it was backordered for 2-4 months.

This is the very definition of a "Bait and Switch" company and they should be avoided at all costs.
