Hi, my name is Christopher and i live in westminster, california. I was on my way to the bank to pay off my credit card, which i have almost maxed out due to books for college and courses for college. I had exactly 220$ on me to get my credit card down to 1/2 so that the interest rates wouldn't be so high on me.

As i was parking, a man in a rent-a-car, which he showed me that it was rented car, stopped me when i walked out of my car. He was dressed in a white dress up shirt, slacks, and dress shoes. He said his english was bad and kept saying sorry for his lack of grammar. He claimed to be a designer for armani. He said he was at south coast where armani exchange store was really actually located earlier before stopping me. he said that the night before, he was at the casino and that he drank too much and he picked up a girl, the girl jacked him for his money and now he has no money at all to get home to Italy. I felt bad because the story was so believe able and i am a nice guy who thinks of morals, help others and you will be helped yourself. I told him that i was on my way to paying my bills and i had no money on me.

he then showed me 3 fake armani exchange jackets and told me that if i helped him he would give me one, which retail value is 0, but he said they were of 1500 - 2000 each. i didnt really care about the jackets i didnt like them, leather wasnt my thing. I just wanted to help the poor guy get home... he then said that if i can help him, he'll give me 500 back to pay off my credit because back home in italy, he has money and that he was catholic, so was i, with his rosary around his neck. i felt bad so i took out the only money i had left saved to pay off school and gave it to him.. 200 dollars. he said that tomrrow morning, which is today, he would send me money through western union. he told me to use the business cards he gave me and go to the bank to get my money.

i was so iffy about giving him my money but i did it anyways because i wanted to help him out... but in return i got nothing. this guy is a scam... dont believe his lies, their are many others out there with the same story but i guess this guy has been around. He has scammed others in New Jersey, New York, all teh way to California, me. dont let him get u... please. i hate this guy and i wish he would die. sorry, but i really do. he took the rest of my money to pay off school and now i have nothing. so yeah.... =/

Sincerely,

Chris...

My story matches yours to a T. Only he wanted $250 from me. He looks so pathetic and you feel so bad for the guy that you just want to ignore you gut feeling and help him out. I wish they would put out some kind of nationwide prodcast about this guy. What a d****e!!!! Oh, And I'm from Seattle W.A. So the guy moves around a lot.

Yeah I got scammed by the same guy... I felt bad because he said he got robbed by some woman because he drank too much and needed to catch an early flight home or he would be sleeping in the street. So I gave him around $500 to change his flight and grab something to eat. I had a gut feeling there was something fishy about the whole thing but it would be sad to turn down someone who needed help. Hopefully I can get enough information on this guy to try to track him down. It sounds like it is the same exact person who scammed me... same story same description. Except it happened to me in Irvine...

Hello, Chris. Very sorry to hear that you were duped in this well known scam, and I imagine right now you probably have little to zero faith in trusting people, but someone will come along and restore your faith in humanity and just take it as one of our life lessons we all have at one time or another. The day will come when he has to answer for all his dirty deeds, and he will get whats coming to him.
