Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

On January 6, 2009, my father-in-law passed away. He was 56. He did not have life insurance. We were unemployed and have a young child and did not have the money at the time to have a funeral or pay for cremation. We called every number on the list provided to us by the hospital to try to find someone that we could pay when we received our income takes back.

The only place that was willing to help us was National Cremation Services...otherwise known as AAA Alpha and Omega. We were very thankful to Joe, Roe, and the rest of the staff there for giving us the peace of mind that my father-in-law would not be turned over to the state. Once we received our income tax refund, I promptly mailed payment of almost $800 to Joe at AAA Alpha and Omega.

Upon the payment clearing my bank, I contacted Joe with AAA Alpha and Omega in regards to the death certificate that we needed to handle probate on our end. I had to do all of the leg work myself in getting signatures on the death certificate from the doctors and our local health department. We finally got that taken care of AFTER the health department stated that they were going to report Joe for not properly handling the paperwork.

We have been in contact with Joe from AAA Alpha and Omega for the last 11 MONTHS trying to locate my father-in-law's ashes that we have NEVER received. We have been sitting here looking at an empty urn for almost a year. TODAY, we find out that AAA Alpha and Omega have never paid the actual crematory that picked up my father-in-law. Orlando Crematory stated that they have my father-in-law's ashes and that they have had them this entire time. Apparently AAA Alpha and Omega owes the Orlando Crematory over four-thousand dollars!!!!! We were told that if they would just pay for my father-in-law's ashes, they would release them to AAA Alpha and Omega. We even asked if we could pay out of pocket for the cremains just so we could have them and finally lay my father-in-law to rest and they told us that the funds would have to come from AAA Alpha and Omega.

I just contacted Joe with AAA Alpha and Omega and he told me that I would have to call him back between the hours of 3pm and 5pm on Monday. This is a similar story to what we get everytime we call. They are always too busy to deal with us once they received our money. I really hope that other people do not have to go through this after losing a loved one. As if the pain of the person dying isn't bad enough, you have to fight to be able to lay them to rest. This is truly absurd. I only wish that Joe, Roe, AJ, and whomever else may be affiliated with these scam artists know the pain of losing a loved one and then wondering for MONTHS where their loved one's remains are. Sad.
