AAA North Jersey Wayne, NJ cause damages to vehicle, refuses to reimburse Wayne, New Jersey
I contacted AAA for a long distance tow from Mass. to NJ. AAA contracted Cape Cod Towing to perform the tow. When I arrived to the final site, the tow co. driver indicated that my vehicle was dropped from the trailer and damaged during transport! The driver also arrived 15 hrs. later than expected! Where was the car during those hrs? I immediately contacted AAA to report damages to the vehicle and file a claim. Brian, a supervisor, from the NJ office assured me that AAA rep would go to the location to inspect the damages to the vehicle on Monday. On Monday, AAA rep did not inspect the vehicle nor did any rep follow up regarding the status of my claim. Unbelievable! Again, I contacted AAA to report the damages and file a claim. Two reps called several times for the vehicle's location and inquire about the damages. Why are they calling me for information that should be in their system? By the week's end, AAA still has not inspected the vehicle or reimbursed for damages. The following week, I contacted the member relations coordinator at the Wayne office. They were unaware of the status of my claim. Totally incompetent! I'm acquiring the services of an attorney and will cancel my membership. Customer service is poor! There are other auto clubs!
