Last year on 4/29/02 i took my vehicle in to see what my problem was. I had a high pitch sound going on. Aamco took my vehicle in and assured me that my problem came from the transmission. I paid 485.00 for the teardown of my transmission.

Nothing else was to be done to my vehicle until they found the problem. However a couple of days later I was phoned by them telling me that my transmission was rebuilt and that my vehicle was ready to be picked up. I now owed the sum of 2108.53 for the release of my vehicle. Interesting to note that I did not sign anything approving them of the repairs, neither did they get oral permission.

I paid the price thinking that at least my vehicle is fixed. My vehicle did however have the same problem in which it went in for. The high pitch sound was still there. So what exactly did I pay for? I took my vehicle back in and they said it was something else. Hello, but did i not bring my car in for the high pitch sound that was annoying me.

They wanted to charge me another 500.00 to fix it. Unbelievable wouldn't you say? I took my car to another transmission shop referred to by my friend. They looked over my car and told me my problem was my rear bearings. They fixed it and looked at the recent work I had done by Aamco. They noticed that the parts that were labled as "new" were not. They also noticed a bunch of parts labled under mechanical terms to confuse the customer. I felt so violated because I had been lied to.

I talked to Aamco to ask for my refund and they refused. However they were willing to pay for my recent work which cost me 450.00. This only after I had the Business Bureau question them. I refused the offer and took them to court. I won in Civil and the Superior. They still refuse to admit the wrong caused by them.

Amazing as it is they accuse me of doing this purposely. Anyhow I'm still waiting for my refund. And wouldn't you think that they would read there own contract. I did not sign for the repair work and neither did they contact me about the repairs until after the repairs that they say were done to my vehicle. I have learned a great deal from this experience. I'm not as gullible as I use to be.

Pamela~~~~I know this shop very well i know the owners~~~~~~this shop was taken over i'm pretty sure after you had your car repaired~~~(owners are korean) now.~~#1 If the car was repaired "without" a signature or verifying infomation noted on the repair order date/time/by whom/what was said~~~~~you can contact the B.A.R.~~~for the state~~~~you need to file a complaint that work was not authorized~~~~~all notations must be on you copy of the work order~~~~~if not~~~~the shop should have them on their hard copy~~~~~~the state cannot make them refund the money~~~only the courts can do that~~~~if they do that it will be a courtesy on their part`~~~i'm sure the current owner will not do that~~~IF THE REPAIR WAS MISDIAGNOSED~~~~ as you claim a FRAUDULENT repair was performed and criminal parts of the B.A.R. apply~~~~THE TRANZMN
