I am writing this post as a consumer of health insurance. Everything I've pulled up on 'ABBA' or the 'IAC' has referred to circumstances from a representative of their company; someone who was selling insurance for them.

I am the consumer. I purchased insurance from one of their sales people. I did not read the fine print, SHAME on me. My deductible is huge (more than I currently have in savings). Yes, I did agree to it at the time; I was desperate to get insured and figured it would have to do. But now, I'm looking closer at my papers, and $54.50 of my monthly health insurance payment actually goes to ABBA membership!! This is ridiculous, considering ABBA membership has done NOTHING for me since I joined. I'll be calling Cigna today to find out if I can switch to another plan within their network without being penalized for pre-existing conditions.

Beware of ABBA and IAC policies as a consumer, read your paperwork. I was referred through a 'Mommy network', and the lady who signed me up was super sweet, met me at my home or a play place for the kiddos, confided about her experience as a single mom with 3 kids, blah blah blah. I wish I would have read the fine print, hopefully you will before signing up....
