Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I have received several calls from this company; each time the person threats to have police arrest me at work, send to to court and seize my bank accounts. I finally had enough and call the number back, the call come from two different numbers 855-368-1027 and 855-799-4492. The woman calling herself Jennifer stated that I owed over $1500 in an unpaid loan. I will admit in my undergrad years I had a few debits that I did not pay but have worked tirelessly to clear up all outstanding debt. Initially I thought this was possibly an old debt that was missed by the credit bureau, so I questioned the person about the debt.
She informed me that it was for a payday loan that I had taken out but did not tell me the name of the company. Since I have not taken any payday loans out in over 4 years I thought this was strange. I explained to the women that I have not taken any loans out, also that that type of loan is entirely impossible to get in my current state because they are illegal. I should know I work for the state. She went on to rattle of information that was so old that I immediately knew that she was trying to scam me. She has information on me that was from before high school and over 15 years old. I told the women she has very old information and there is no way I am paying a loan to a company that can not ever produce current information.  She then mentioned my current bank and an account number that I had closed because a strange company tried to debt the account. When I asked the woman about the name of the company she again refused to tell me. She would only raise her voice and threaten to have me arrested at my job. So I asked the women if the name of the company was Vista group; she would not answer. I then asked for her name and the name of the company she worked for as I have a fraud case with my bank again this Vista Group Company for ACH withdrawals that were never authorized. She of course told me that she did not have to give me any information about the company and if I continue to be argumentative she would send an armed officer now and not give me a chance to resolve this matter out of court.  I told the woman that I was not being in any way argumentative but if she wouldn't mind holding the line I was going to conference in the fraud department from my bank to resolve this matter. The Ms Abrams then became very upset and told me I blew my chance a resolving this matter and she would see me in court. She then hung up.
I have done a bit of research on this company and gotten the name and address. I have reported this company to my bank, BBB and State Attorney General.  This company is a collection agency and is using illegal practice to threaten consumers. It just so happens that this time they ran across someone that was informed and aware.
