Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I had five or six interactions on the phone and five or six email interactions with staff and the General Manager of Actors Access, Bob Brody, between 2010 and 2012 and the majority of the customer service representatives and, especially, Mr. Bob Brody were extremely aggressive and rude both on the phone and via email. First of all, the site is poorly organized (the software), the site send email casting notifications to subscribers that are totally unrelated to their type(s) and the site has numerous software problems related to the fact that one can subscribe via either Actors Access or Showfax and once you have subscribed you must renew under a different username.

When I notified the staff that I was receiving submission confirmations and verifications of sides requests related to roles I never had and some of which I never could have submitted for (e.g., women's roles), I was given lots of excuses and was treated unprofessionally and rudely by the staff and Mr. Brody himself.

Furthermore, when I spoke with him today regarding a software issue after I paid for a resubscription, a manager was extremely rude to me, constantly talking on top of me and when I asked him to stop so that he could hesr what the problem was, he became abusive, said "we don't need your business" and hung up the phone on me. When I called back to inform him that my subscription fee would have to be credited back to the card I paid with, he again hung up.

Mr. Brody, in both prior comversations and in emails was consistently aggressive, rude and, in my opinion, highly unprofessional in demeanor. Today, after I informed him by email of what my BANK told me to write to ensure a correct dispute of the charge, e.g., not to seek payment, to delete all my card infotmation from their system and thatvany and all charges would be investigated as fraudulent, Mr. Brody sent me a series of disturbed, unprofessional and verbally abusive emails. As a result I intend to inform SAG-AFTRA of this outrageous behavior and I will be filing a formal legal complaint with the Federal Trade Commission for harassment by an agent of the Actors Access/Showfax company. I have put Mr. Brody on notice that he should cease and desist from further email communications to myself, particularly since these abusive communications were sent after he closed my account and allegedly put through a credit on my card for the subscription fee I paid.
